That is going to take a lot of fill, the homeowner should have quite a ball with all the tractor time to fill it!! That concrete on the bottom sure seemed thin, but at this point that was a really good thing for you. Fun little project there, enjoyed the video! Have a good one!!👍
He should have waited and had the dump trucks back up close and dump it lol. Maybe he have it pushed in by the time the next one comes. I’d have pumped the water out to it’s gonna be soup for a while!
I have to ask Tim, why did the homeowner not have you demo all the concrete and remove it, then backfill ? I guess $ might be part of the equation there. Different video for sure.
Is doing it this way ok with the building code regulations for this area? Also, with no drainage to let water run out of the old pool, what's going to happen after a heavy rain?
Please don't fill in or demolish a pool like this and many other show. You need to get the liner out, remove the galvanized steel walls/panels and haul that off at a minimum. I'm not a fan of using all the concrete to help fill in, but I guess if you place it carefully with properly placed fill dirt and use a compactor between 12" lifts, you will probably come out OK. Filling one in with all kinds of garbage and erratically placed concrete with improper non-compactable fill dirt is only asking for problems. In a few years, with a few heavy rains on it, the settling will show it's ugly head and you'll have a few low spots at best and bad sink holes most likely.
My neighbor just had a job like that done they pushed most of the concrete in and had a contractor do it it was like a weeks job. Can't remember how many mini wheeler loads of dirt they brought in .
If it wasn’t for buoyancy a plus size girl would have broke through the bottom of that pool just walking on it! Broke like wet chalk! He sure should have pumped that water out gonna be just a soupy quagmire! For months

Throw that concrete from the edge in the hole get rid of it and fill the hole, have a backyard again
You better stick around a while hes gonna need ya to lift his tractor back out after he drives over the edge :-)

That is going to take a lot of dirt for that hole. Thanks for the video
Come back in about thirty days. thanks.
Great job great video Tim
Overhauling the cement pond .
The ducks will be happy .
I bet before its over he will pump that water out. Going to take awhile to feel it in with that little tractor. Good to see you buddy.

I’m not sure on that.
It’s vermiculite. That’s what most pools have as the base.
seen you over the years doing some jobs , this one is an eye opener ....
Now this is my kind of job!
We’ve done 7 pools like this year!
Only 7 jobs must be a slow business.
@@michaelolenick4078 it’s not a slow business. If you’re doing everything that pertains to excavating.

The thin structure and lack of coatings killed that pool. What a waste.
Looking like your following Smiths Works with his cement pond project
Slow and steady 👍🏻🇺🇸

He needs to stay on the dry side filling with the dirt. 😊
That was different
I helped fill one in 10 20 ton loads of red clay to fill it.
Good job Tim, something a little different👌👍🙏🙂
I dont understand how that turned so brittle.
gotta love retired guys, they just want something to do lmao

BE sure and show us the results after it's finished ...
Will do but its prolly gonna be a while lol
@@cotontop3 Probably a good 75+ yards there. What's that, about 7 or 8 hundred trips with the little tractor? lol.
