Thank you for a beautiful song. I grew up listening to A.Paul Ortega. My grandparents were big fan. Back in the day, when I have a bad day. Or something wrong I pop on your music it makes me feel better big thank you to you & your drumming group.
Beautiful song! I am not native, but I am not a Pinda-liko-ye either. Don't even speak Athabascan but I understand the culture to a point and feel the vibes in this great music. This is what all the leaders and warriors fought for over the centuries; so their people could remain Apache. The Apaches are unique even among other tribes.
Just knowledge, the singing and Dancing. In the way’s it’s presented today, Comes from many year’s of Strong powerful History, which the ancestors practiced, and had Pride in!!! Good bless I Enjoyed listening!!!
Nice prayer song about "God, the earth, the beautiful way..." You actually don't need to understand if you don't speak the language...the song pretty much speaks for itself.
I love this song my singers singed this for the last song after the gift exchange and I wanna go back to it because they sang this but a little faster and shorter good times..
I can't wait to hear the great music live at the pow wow my family I love every great hunt is great when we bring home all the goods from our long hunt for our children and tribe members. An exciting moment to see the joy on everyone's faces to see the hunt.
Humans have advanced technology, art, literature, transportation, mathematics, manufacture, music, politics, weapons, materials, space exploration, and communications. Indians chant and play a drum.
Where is this group from, I love hearing the song, sounds great, as I myself am from Utah, northern Ute, but I do dig, the song. Peacefully, and soothing. I believe thee Apache gave the most powerful, and sacred dance, keep it Going strong!! much Love!!!
I'm genuinely curious: What is the symbolic value of those headdresses that the Apache men wear? Is it the same as the feather headdresses worn by the tribes further north, or is it something different?
The headdress of the crown dancers is very symbolic and was used primarily for healing, blessing and other spiritual ceremonies that are now today no longer known.
I'm part Seminole and I've lived in Arizona for years and I love the Apaches sad the US government's ironically put the Apache with the Seminole skip this patchy tribes in the Seminole tribes had pot together New Beginnings this country would have been a lot different to unconquered Nations
I'm also Deeshchiinii. My late grandmother told our family that the clan originated somewhere from White Mountains. I've been doing a little research on it and I believe the Deeshchiinii clan originated from Cibecue. My grandmother told us that we moved away from White Mountain 'cause of a shortage of food and we didn't want to fight with other apaches. I think this was during the Apache Wars.
There’s different dialect. Like Spanish there’s different meanings where and who says it. Navajo is the same. It’s hard to explain but it’s a prayer song.

Im White Mountain Apache. I can translate what he is singing. "When the world first began. When there was no more darkness. (Old Apache I dont really understand but I can make out, but said something like jesus was sent somewhere) then clearly says "In the white mountains he came and left his last foot print." "One day we will see him come back again." (Referring to Jesus) Apache songs tell stories. Stories from long ago and how life was created. Beginning to end. I hope this was helpful♥️
The Apache Nation... Songs like these should be kept within the tribes of the Great Apache Nations. Up lifting and powerful in ways only a tribe such as the Apaches are of one.
