Im 100% the same, I prefer variety. I'd rather have 20 different versions of something affordable than spend the same money on one expensive thing.

I'd be down for getting a sample of Kenzo Elephant. Also, since I couldn't find full bottle of Elisabeth and James I got like 20 5ml samples on clearance, lol.

Haha, that's the spirit! Sampling Kenzo Elephant sounds like a great idea-it's such a unique scent journey. And wow, snagging 20 samples of Elisabeth and James? That's both hilarious and genius! you can also put them in every purse and pocket and give them away if you get an especially lavish compliment from someone :) I do that sometimes lol

Yes. I’ve always loved variety and options. Clothes, shampoo, fragrance. I like to change how I express myself and also how I want to feel.
I understand why someone might want to have just one scent and be known by that smell… but it’s not for me. I like variety.
I’ve recently finished and repurchased SJP Lovely, Tommy Girl and Infusion D’Iris. Staples in my collection. Curious to try Oxygene. Thanks for reminding me.

Changing up how we express ourselves and how we want to feel is such a powerful way to navigate life. And what a great selection of staples you've got! SJP Lovely, Tommy Girl, and Infusion D’Iris are all classics in their own right!

OMG I loved Oxygene so much! One lady was just bowled over and asking me what that was. I find that it tends to go off quickly, and the basil note takes over. That happened with two bottles. And Caleche Eau Delicate, OMG, I love it so much. It is so much better to me than the original Caleche. It has a dominant but soft iris note that I love. I agree, Hermes should release it again, but don't change it, it is perfection. Thanks for your fun review.

My collection only began in 2021 with COVID and expanded fairly rapidly, so altho not “designer” in the context you’re discussing, the only fragrance I’ve needed to repurchase (my bedtime scent) is Heliotrope by Oriza L. Legrande. However, if I were to repurchase another ‘designer’ fragrance it most likely would be StashSJP Unspoken - an easy to wear, addictive, floral musk. I love it. Another might be Clinique Happy (my gym scent) but my son bought me my current bottle, it’s huge & it’s gonna be a while before I feel the urge to replace it!❤thank you always for being so genuine and interesting!😘👌👏👏👏

I loved finding your channel. I have ADHD and a hyperfocus on perfumes and I can relate to the "friends who won't have the constant perfume talk" 🤣. I found your descriptions interesting and delightful. I have to say I used to have some perfumes as a teen, all blind buys because I asked a friend to buy them for me in the duty free once. And after those mostly failed attempts became a signature scent girl. But I guess it was a cultural thing maybe? Also influenced by the time. When I was a teen and early 20s in my country (Mexico) it was not so easy to have many perfumes and not something most people did. Now I live in Portugal and that played a big part in being able to buy more scents. Since they are mostly made in Europe, prices are way lower than they will ever be in the American continent. I have been able to experiment and buy several perfumes that would have been unthinkable back in my country. And I do agree that variety for me too is a source of pleasure. A definite dopamine hit.

I've been wearing L'Eau par Kenzo since 2000. It's a timeless zen garden.
Another one I have been wearing for years is Burberry Brit EDT (2004).
    My two most repurchased scents😊

The Homme version of Oxygene has been in the bargain bin up here in Canada for several years now. Ditto with Lanvin's L'homme which seems like nobody wants. 😵‍💫 Only tried the latter and it was disappointingly boring, so I can understand the consumer reticence. I prefer the Sport version and I can certainly get on board with Avant Garde if it were still available. Definitely agree with I love love!

I'm not sure If i remember what men's options from Lanvin were, so it might as well be there were not that impressive. What's your list of perfumes repurchased many times?

@@MariaMeliora I'm happy to say that I've never repurchased a fragrance in my life! 😁 But I have purchased backups if that counts - Rochas Femme most recently - some of which I've started and some of which I haven't. Unfortunately or fortunately, once they're gone, they're gone; so I've learned how to ration accordingly. Forward movement. ☺
