I dont think Victor or the Creature are bad people, per say. Victor is a piece of shit human being, but, honestly, I can see myself in him. Trying to do your best to prove to other people you are worthy and then being so deep into it you can't turn back. The creature, thrown into a strange world and abandoned- Turning fear into anger... It's complicated
Victor may hate the creature; but for half of this song he acts like an exasperate dad in the toy aisle telling his kid that he cant have the new barbie while said kid is trowing a tantrum
I love listening to this performance more than the album because in this I can really hear the Creature’s part in the harmony more than I can in the album and it makes me so happy!
The one bit about this show that grates is that Justine in the book went peacefully to her execution, wrong though it was. Having her protest at the end like that is too overdramatic and rather puts the skids on an otherwise epic number.
