I was wondering how your ambitious Christmas knitting was going, all in all I think you’ve done very well and showed resilience. Liked the way your hubby was the fall guy and his hat suits you! Great video, thank you for sharing
You did amazing work for gifts, you should be proud of yourself! I tried and failed multiple times to make myself a tree skirt and instead convinced my mom that she should quilt one for me for next year😂 I made a few gifts this year, including a scarf for my dad and a shawl for my sister but I have bigger ambitions for next year!
I spend the whole year slowly working on gift knits interspersed with things for myself so that by November, I usually have nearly everything done and can relax with whatever I want to work on.
I was really routing for you. So sorry you didn’t get it all done. Just like you I was a foolish knitter. As of today I still have several projects to finish. Good luck on your wips.
I wouldn’t have wanted to cut gifts till the end either, you never know, and I personally finish things faster with a deadline… my boyfriend also got the delayed project, I wrapped up the scarf I made him and then the just-started hat on the needles with the printed pattern on top showing a picture of it 😅 Was the main color yarn for the Zuni cardigan only sold in a limited quantity or can you get more? It’s so pretty!
Everything from that company was a limited run, and they were out by the time I needed it (and are now out of business). I spent a long time trying to get more on eBay/Ravelry/the whole Internet, but I realized that there wasn't really anything available. Maybe some will come up someday 🤷🏼♀️
Also, can I ask how long you made your football scarves? I really like the length you ended up with (speaking as someone who usually prefers 70-80” scarves). I also made my boyfriend a baseball scarf for Xmas ☺️ it was shorter too, and I think that style works well for a sports accessory!
My mind boggles at the speed at which you must knit to complete in 10 weeks what you have. I never do 'expected' gifts simply because of the stress and the fact that I am not a fast knitter.
As someone who is over 60 I think you put too much pressure on yourself. One hand made gift per person would be more than enough! And maybe start the Christmas plan a little earlier in the year? As it is I can’t believe you got all that done in the amount of time you had.

Love your makes! Not many people in my life want knits 💁🏻♀️ makes things easy 😉

I knit a beanie, socks and a tie for Christmas this year along with sewing a lot of this too.
Your gift knitting list was ambitious for sure but you accomplished a ton! Don't stress!

You too!
So much love in those knitting projects ❤️ But so much stress! 💔 I wonder, what are your plans for this Christmas? ❤️
Sorry you didn't get it all done. I have been retired for many years and that's why I am able to get my gift knits done in time. 🤣

I’m so sorry, can you buy that yarn from ravelry? Bc often people sell stash
I tried! No one had it as "willing to sell" - but I messaged a few that had it in stash and wasn't able to get any in time.

I think they ended up around 60"-65", but that garter stitch is stretchy
@@the_copycat_stitch Thanks! They look so good!!
Oh my, I could feel your stress. I’m a selfish crafter so no body gets hand mades from me.
I'm beginning to think you've got the right idea!

I don't blame you, it's catching up to me!
dont tell people you're knitting anything, and then it can be for their birthday or other celebrations and they're none the wiser :D

I agree, that's what I did last year, I swear! The holidays really snuck up on me this year.
