This video actually explains why most trainers in the games have very few pokémon on them when they travel. It's not cheap to take care of them all so some trainers focusing on one type or species type makes it easier. Like the Hiker trainers are really good with rock types because they insure they live in environments their pokémon like and is full of natural minerals for them to eat.
It’s kinda cool to think what taking care of Pokemon would be like, since so many animals irl require odd care. Like some animals beaks and nails need constant trimming, some have INSANELY specific diets, and so many people wouldn’t care for them. It makes me wonder if certain Pokémon would only be kept by the best trainers because of their dietary needs and constant attention lol
Honestly, all this video did was reaffirm exactly why I hold a genuinely great amount of respect for the Main characters of the anime, especially Ash and Brock. Ash regularly trains and cares for a full team of Pokémon, dealing with all their individual needs and even certain mental issues that are unique to that Pokémon in particular(Infernape’s blackout rampages, Incineroar’s trauma of losing its parental figure Stoutland, Pignite’s inferiority complex towards its own worth as a Pokémon thanks to its former trainer, hell, his Charizard was abandoned by its former trainer and left to die in the rain), along with him regularly caring for the Pokémon from every egg he’s ever received, and ensuring that all of his Pokémon are treated fairly and with respect, never pressuring them to evolve early nor forcing them to fight till exhaustion(they do it, but only because they want to do it, not because he forced them to). Meanwhile with Brock, he doesn’t simply know about the stuff in this video alone. He actively knows the proper care and diet for practically every Pokémon species, understanding what they need to have and what they need to avoid. The man is pretty much a professionally trained veterinarian, zookeeper, and biologist all rolled into one person. That’s not even mentioning the fact that the coordinators like Dawn, May, and Serena all know the proper make-up and cleaning products that are safe for their Pokémon, especially regarding the fact that animals require different products depending on the species, so if we associated Pokémon with the animals they resemble, this means they keep track of practically dozens of different products to use for each specific Pokémon. It’s honestly amazing how people call the trainers in the anime bad when they literally have to take care of living creatures, they aren’t just developing a computer program or a toy, but a living being that has its own needs besides training, plus the fact that they fight in real time, so it is nowhere near as simple since the foe will not wait for you to decide your next move, meaning you have to make every decision in a split-second.
This is a big component to why I love the anime and still watch it. It feels like the Pokemon are actually living, breathing creatures. They have feelings, personalities, problems, likes, dislikes and so much more. It's also why I have so much respect for Ash and friends. They want their Pokemon to be the best they can be. They treat them like equals and the Pokemon's choice matters. If they want to evolve, that's great. If not, that's okay too. It boggles my mind when people call the protagonists bad trainers when a bad trainer is someone who doesn't bring the best out of a Pokemon or doesn't tend to it's need. These guys are great trainers. They treat Pokemon with respect and want them to be truly great. They show what Pokemon is all about and they have become a big inspiration for me. I may not evolve a Pokemon or two because I feel they don't need it or want to cause they're happy where they are or I'll give them personalities based off their natures. It's really hightened my enjoyment of Pokemon immensly and I definitely respect the anime more for it.

I loved the video and decided to share some tips with my favorite pokemon, anorith. Water quality is key, and why they struggle outside of captivity. Anorith's water must have high oxygen content, and can be bought at specialty pokemon care stores. For feeding, it enjoys live prey such as soft-bodied tynamo (a favorite of many of my anoriths) or shelled creatures it can break open for enrichment such as wimpod. Just make sure they have weak points, as anorith's claws can break if it tries to shatter something too hard. For entertainment several toys such as empty shells and balls should be around its tank. Anorith are not social in the wild, and will mistake each other for food and attack if cohabiting. Anorith can survive out of water, but water should be run over it's back regularly to help it breathe, and even more water to moisten its eyes, as anorith lacks eyelids. Carry your anorith when out, as it cannot move very well out of water. Letting it sit on your head or in your bag is ideal, although in dryer climates getting a wheeled tank is recommended. Dewpider and araquanid can also help a lot, and get along well with anorith. Finally, something many novice trainers don't know is that anorith's mouth is on its underside, not the front. If hand-feeding, let your anorith hold the food in its claws so it can move the food into its mouth. Let me know if I missed anything or you have any questions!

Here's one: always keep Necrozma out in the open, more specifically outside. Don't keep it in the dark as it won't have a way to lessen the pain it's suffering. Fusing it with Solgaleo or Lunala is usually enough to make sure it has a constant light source for it to be okay in dark places, but an even better idea would be to transform it into its Ultra Burst form as it's that form in which the pain goes away.
Despite the flaws of the recent games, I'm glad the new games have built on the taking care part of pokemon training. Hell, the camp feature of Sword and Shield is straight out of the anime
I had just recently joked to my friend about taking care of my Pokémon from Pokémon Go in my current living situation: a college dorm. I think it would be a pretty challenging and fun experience.
Now I realize why only extremely powerful trainers have teams of 6. It’s incredibly difficult to take care of varied teams, and since being a stronger trainer means you win more, thus getting you more money, you can expend more to look after your Pokémon.
I like this. Treating Pokemon with love and care like friends or pets. Always makes me feel good. Now I want to open a day-care where I just take care of Pokemon.
My God how has this video not crossed 100k already!? People, pull yourselves out of the showdown salt, and come watch this. This is the very essence of pokemon.
I would like a Pokemon game about taking care of them (like a ranch, a daycare or a lab), and you'll have to make accomodations for each individual species.
A couple more: Banette's ghostly energy escapes if its zipper opens, which could result in injury to others or even the "death" of the Pokemon itself if the energy animating it doesn't return. Haunter's saliva contains a powerful paralytic, so here's hoping they don't show affection by licking the way a lot of real animals do! Scizor is super vulnerable to heat, having a 4x weakness to fire because of its typing. It regulates its body temperature by beating its wings, so trainers should monitor their Scizor's condition closely by watching their wings. If it's beating them really fast, it's probably starting to overheat, so the trainer should return it to its Pokeball and/or move it somewhere colder. (Loved this video by the way!)
I already know this stuff since back in the original days of Pokémon so this is no surprise to me. It's no different than taking care of an actual pet like a cat or dog.
Don't worry guys, my Psyduck is on a heavy Ibuprofen diet. The headaches have calmed down a bit, but we are still searching for natural cures such as a Shellder implant on its head. A frien of mine said it did wonders for his Slowpoke :)
I absolutely love this and everything about this. I did an entire rant about my own headcanons/suggestions/ideas about this concept on Bird Keeper Toby's video, so all I'm going to say here is that I love the way you meshed everymon together, making sure they segued into other Pokemon that would be helpful in a situation where one needs care. Like Heatmor's flame heating up Sandile with its fire. I love that!! I like the idea of Pokemon Trainers having Pokemon that they use simply for helping around the house or taking care of themselves/other Pokemon/other people. I think about things like this a lot. What Pokemon work well together? Which ones don't? Do I need to have this trainer live somewhere outdoorsy or will that hurt their Pokemon? And other things.
Great video TrueGreen7!! Love this collab with BirdKeeperToby. Watched both videos and this is exactly why I follow the both of you. Keep up the great work in 2021

Please provide reptile like pokemon with a room with what is called a gradient heat. Meaning, on one side it's normal room temperature, and on the other side is heating lights/heaters/heating pads (under things PLEASE. Do NOT leave just heating pads around. Put them under stones and such), with adequate space between them that the transition is not sudden. The entrance to the room is best on the room temperature side. Water should be kept on the cooler side, and food kept in whichever side they prefer eating on. You'll be able to figure that out because most will simply...move the food to that side or area. Despite what many seem to believe, just going from hot to cold is very bad for reptiles. Also, avoid direct heating implements like heating stones or uncovered heating pads. These can cause serious burns if they should short. Shedding pokemon, including reptiles, will also do well to have a "humid box", a mostly enclosed space they can fit into that you keep sprayed down with water daily. This will help them with shedding as well as keep their semi-exposed eyes moistened. (Herps are some of my favorite animals in real life. Tending to them is something I quite enjoy)
This video is also an example why Trainers need to have enough money to even start a journey and become a full fledged trainer irl. @@awesomeperson3342 Probably not, did you evolve her or are you working on it? Mine just didn't evolve he's level 100 now
Real cats can get overstimulated, so sometimes your fluffy friend will go from playful to annoyed seemingly on a whim. Petting and Playing with your cat is heathy so long as you pay attention to them and know when to stop :)

Clicked so fast 🥰🥰 i own a german shepherd so i think id be good with taking care of pokemon
This is the most precious video. Makes pokemon feel so real
Me who hasn't played Pokémon in a while: oh oh no no no
U should
you have to do all this in the modern pokemon games can confirm
@@iiKeis12 Don't worry I went back and checked on them
HOW COULD THEY ALL DIE?!
REALLY A SHAME
Everyone I went and checked multiple times their gud
This is why so many trainers only have one or two Pokemon, it's a lot of work taking care of these creatures
I always did wonder how you would properly take care of Pokemon
I always assumed they were taken care of in the pokeballs

Here's one: always keep Necrozma out in the open, more specifically outside. Don't keep it in the dark as it won't have a way to lessen the pain it's suffering. Fusing it with Solgaleo or Lunala is usually enough to make sure it has a constant light source for it to be okay in dark places, but an even better idea would be to transform it into its Ultra Burst form as it's that form in which the pain goes away.
Probably owning an Ampharos will help as a light source
Despite the flaws of the recent games, I'm glad the new games have built on the taking care part of pokemon training.
Hell, the camp feature of Sword and Shield is straight out of the anime
Same. Honestly, when I did play Pokemon Shield, I'd spend more time with my team in pokemon camp than I did battling.
Lillie goes to Kyurem and holds the white stone and DNA splice
“This will warm you right up.”
I mean, it will certainly feel better, as it will be more full.
*Lillie gives a Pokebean and macaroon to her Pokémon* I love taking care of my Pokémon.
As someone who makes comics this is the type of video I definitely want to see more of.
My respect for Ron has increased soo much after I saw the title of this video
I had just recently joked to my friend about taking care of my Pokémon from Pokémon Go in my current living situation: a college dorm. I think it would be a pretty challenging and fun experience.
As a dog groomer IRL I have to say this:
Remember to brush your Frufrou and clip your Wooloo so it doesn't get matted!
I'm surprised Bede was never killed by his hatreme with his attitude. I'm sure he didn't have the emotional qualifications to have that pokemon.
Me who always maxes all Pokémon’s hearts: 😆
So do I. Unless I don't want the happiness effects, I cuddle my buddies however much they need.
That's always tough for me to do in gen 6, but in gen 7, it's a cinch, and I thoroughly enjoy doing it!
Same
Me too. My favourite part of the game is petting and feeding them. I usually have my starter full heart before they evolve 🤣
I don't even need to play with them. They have max happiness by the 5th gym.
When you take care of your Pokémon so well, you’ve automatically became a parent.
Wow this seems like a BIG responsibility 😅
Imagine if they added these things in the actual game. Would be interesting
Now I realize why only extremely powerful trainers have teams of 6. It’s incredibly difficult to take care of varied teams, and since being a stronger trainer means you win more, thus getting you more money, you can expend more to look after your Pokémon.
This is why I like Abra it's just like a really smart sleepy bipedal cat. I know and love cats very well.
I was today years old when I noticed Lotad has 6 legs, thought he was a quadruped this whole time, don’t know how I missed this detail
I like this. Treating Pokemon with love and care like friends or pets. Always makes me feel good. Now I want to open a day-care where I just take care of Pokemon.
As someone who recently lost his pet I understand how important taking care of your Pokémon is

My God how has this video not crossed 100k already!?
People, pull yourselves out of the showdown salt, and come watch this. This is the very essence of pokemon.
low-key thought they were just gunna read out a wikihow article lol
I always thought it made sense for people to have one or two types in a team mostly because how difficult it would be to train and take care of
I love this video it makes pokemon look more like living organisms not mathematical equations that attacks
I would like a Pokemon game about taking care of them (like a ranch, a daycare or a lab), and you'll have to make accomodations for each individual species.
Make sure if you have a gardevoir, don't let it hurt other people if they insult you
A couple more:
Banette's ghostly energy escapes if its zipper opens, which could result in injury to others or even the "death" of the Pokemon itself if the energy animating it doesn't return.
That's lot of responsibility to take care of a Pokemon.
11:40 but isn’t psyduck stronger when his headache is worse?
Doesn't mean it can control it well. So it's danger if too much
I already know this stuff since back in the original days of Pokémon so this is no surprise to me. It's no different than taking care of an actual pet like a cat or dog.
5:35 What I’m getting from this is that my gaydar was correct when I described Lilligant to my friend as “a graceful lesbian”
Oh my Arceus, that's adorable.
@@narxmagee727 She looks like one!!! And that’s kind of my type, there’s a reason I had the biggest crush on Arwen as a kid xD
I am now feeling that taking proper care of Pokemons is much more challenging and fun than battling.
I'm amused by this video, probably find some way to reference it in my story, as most of it is slice-of-life elements

Don't worry guys, my Psyduck is on a heavy Ibuprofen diet.
The headaches have calmed down a bit, but we are still searching for natural cures such as a Shellder implant on its head.
A frien of mine said it did wonders for his Slowpoke :)
Man I would like to care for a snivy myself. So thx for the advice
This is why I love you truegreen7. You make videos about pokemon that nobody talks about
And its soooo wholesome

I wish i can bond with my pokemon like people
We’re gonna need this video most if Pokémon randomly start to exist in the real world
Yesss another True green 7 videoooo
These videos are interestingly informative.
This video is also an example why Trainers need to have enough money to even start a journey and become a full fledged trainer irl. I think the sponsorships in Galar are a really good financial system for trainers as Pokémon battles are in it's essence, Sports & Entertainment. Wish they implement sponsorships more in later gens.
If Lucario exists in real life, i feel sorry for the people that tried a hug...
