I wish this had been done to me cause I can't swim.I almost failed EMT School when I was stationed in Hawaii. We were supposed to go into the Ocean at Wakiki Beach & bring a drowning Victim to the Shore.I wouldn't do it cause.....I DON'T DO WATER.But,cause I had the highest GPA in Class & able to tell what to do once you got them back to Shore, they let me pass & graduate. That was in 1984.I was 22.Today,I'm 60.

We often get asked a lot of questions regarding our sessions! Here are some of the frequently asked questions and our answers!
At Mind Body Baby we promote swimming from as young as 2 days old 🐳🌈 Swim time helps promote important muscle development and control in babies 💦👶🏻 Little ones will need to develop the muscles needed to hold their heads up, move their arms and legs, and work their core in coordination with the rest of their body 🍼👶🏻💦
💧 Q: Is our water safe?
A: Yes! Our water is tested daily, it is also UV sterilized and Ozone treated every 15 minutes ensuring a clean, sterile and chemical-free environment! Our water is also kept between 36 -38 degrees Celsius!
💧 Q: What age can babies start coming to Mind Body Baby
A: We take babies from newborn age. Babies can start floatation as early as 2 days old! The earlier you start the better it is for your baby's development! We recommend babies start aquatics from approximately 6 months of age!
💧 Q: How often should a baby come for floatation/aquatics?
A: Floatation/Aquatics is like any exercise program. Consistency is key! We recommend coming once a week. Babies with severe colic/reflux can come 2 - 3 times a week! 🐬 Did you know that 7 - 10 minutes in the water for your baby is equivalent to 20 minutes on the treadmill?!

More people need to do this. My parents did this with me, I learnt how to swim before I learnt how to crawl. They had me in every swimming lessons available and by the age of 14 I was a certified lifeguard. At 15yrs old I was teaching 3yr olds to 80yr olds how to swim, was supervising “parents and tots swims”, developed my own boot camp program for moms wanting to loose weight, also involving dry land. Taught water aerobics to the seniors. Was the primary lifeguard for birthday parties and lake swims. And was proud to pass and give my first bronze cross, bronze star and bronze medallion at 16yrs old. I also feel like it’s important to note I’m 5foot. You don’t always need to be tall to be a successful swimmer.

You should also teach 3 month old how to cross roads. It will save there life. Why people are so stupid. Swimming is not a legendary skill to master at 3 month age, unless u want your child to win Olympic games. You can send your kids in swimming lesson during there vacations when they are old enough. This will also help then enjoy and pass time during long summer vacations.

It is a wise decision for parents/coaches to teach young babies to feel confortably in water, learn to float and control breathing, in case of an accident, they manage to react and survive. Babies feel confortable in water because, in reality, them spent a few monthes "floating" inside their mammy's uterus.

We often get asked a lot of questions regarding our sessions! Here are some of the frequently asked questions and our answers!
💧 Q: Is our water safe?
A: Yes! Our water is tested daily, it is also UV sterilised and Ozone treated every 15 minutes ensuring a clean, sterile and chemical-free environment!

I think this is incredibly responsible and wise. There's also something beautifully natural about a baby safely floating in water. With that said, when the vid cut to the kid's unbothered facial expression as his head barely sticks out of the donut while he peacefully floats and bobs, that alone would be reason enough for me to rush and sign my kid up. That clip was hilarious. Hey, I never said I was mature. 😁

It is a little known fact that this baby will hold its breath automatically under water because it did in the womb. Babies will lose this reflex to hold their breath under water if they are not doing it regularly by the time they are 4-6 months of age. This is a perfect time to teach them to go under water, so they don't lose this reflex. I taught all my kids this within their first month of life. They all knew how to swim and hold their breath by the time they were a year old without me...but I was always right there. Drowning is preventable.

I really admire the way this baby is being taught how to swim. I know that some people choose to just throw their child in the water and let them try on their own... I realize that is a common teaching technique, but whenever I see a baby thrown in the pool, scared to death and struggling, it tears me up...
