    Welcome back to Hourless Life where we are driving around the world.
    We left the area in our last video and headed to Santa Rosa de Cabal. The world-famous hot springs (or termales) there are everything people said they were--and more. We STILL talk about the Termales de Santa Rosa de Cabal. Definitely a bucket-list-level destination if you are ever visiting Colombia.
    In this video, we take you with us to the hot springs at Santa Rosa de Cabal and on our journey afterwards to the town of Filandia as we continue through Colombia's coffee region.
    We share a new video every 1-2 weeks as we are driving around the world. Join us on the journey and get to know us. We'd love to show you the world.

      This place was really special Christopher. Sitting here back in the states in Idaho currently where it is 24 degrees outside right now has me thinking about these hot springs. They were amazing. ~ Eric

      Thanks Marick. We're trying to find that sweet spot both for ourselves and our audience. These videos are a lot of work, but they will be a good memory keeper for Caspian. It was a really nice place and I highly recommend a visit if you ever head to Colombia. ~ Eric

    God Speed! Would you change anything about your vehicle? Would you go bigger next time?

      I think for right now the only thing I would change is to add lockers. We’ve made it fine without them, but they would have been helpful in several situations. As far as size, DAUNTLESS has been perfect for our kind of travel. This may change as Caspian gets older. Only time will tell. ~ Eric

    You guys try to stick to the tourist spots, right? For safety?

    • @HourlessLife
      @HourlessLife  Год назад +2

      Not really. We often visit recommended places. But we have camped in some extremely off the beaten path spots to see things we wanted to see. Generally however, whenever we camp we do our due diligence in regards to safety and security by speaking to locals first. ~ Eric

    Oh no. Did u really bargain for a savings on @$2USD?
    Did I understand that right?

    • @HourlessLife
      @HourlessLife  Год назад

      LOL! So it isn't about the money. It is about the fact that the average price in that area was 20,000-30,000 per night. They like to price hike when they see foreigners so if we all pay those inflated prices, it prices out the locals who then can't afford to stay in those places. We're very careful not to do anything to negatively impact the locals. Hope that makes sense. We talked about this extensively on our Patreon. It is something that is really important for all international overlanders to understand. ~ Eric

    How much is 60k pesos in dollars?

    • @HourlessLife
      @HourlessLife  Год назад +2

      60000 Colombian Pesos is the equivalent of $13.50 USD. But understand that the normal price for camping in that area was 20,000 - 30,000 Colombian Pesos. Often times when a foreign traveler is camping they will hike the prices. This is not good for the locals. Because it puts local campers on the spot to pay more. We are very cautious about not overpaying or contributing to the detriment of the local people. There are whole topics of discussion about this type of price gouging online. It isn't that we couldn't pay the $13.50. It is that we shouldn't. ~ Eric
