Depends where you are in life. I was a depressed teen. Now my life is coming together and this music makes me reminisce on my depressed mind and be thankful for all that has happened. Hence it makes me feel good about how far I've come.
Music has been my escape for decades, i have been able to use music to help me cry, to make me comfortable, to feel happy and so much more, but lately after i went through a really bad period and feelings i feel like I can't listen to music anymore, it's not my safe place anymore, somewhere I can go back to, it scares me. The one thing I thought I'd always have turned out I don't have it anymore, the thing I love most in my life is listening to music and being inspired by it... I don't know how to describe my feelings, but it's like I'm in a place that is strange, unsafe and empty. I don't like it here, but I don't know how to get out either.
