There is a school of thought that Blizzard does the minimum of play testing before they release their cards, which enables the craziest of shenanigans. However, a select few individuals think they know exactly what will happen when certain cards are released...and they like it.
They already did that with the Crabrider change. The text says "Battlecry" but it doesn't trigger the Shaman quest or get added to the Shudderwock pool.

Remember a bug with Mage's Ethereal Conjurer? Battlecry: Discover a Spell. It used to softlock your game upon playing the card. Took Blizzard 5 days to release a fix. Until then it would reconnect you to the softlocked state.
Made a version with double Armor Vendor and Platebreaker as an adaptation to your Hostage deck from a few years ago. Great fun and easily survives against aggro.
I'm playing this exact same deck, it's pretty good, you can usually won without even playing the platebreaker, which usually it's pretty bad to play against aggro. I'm also playing that 2 3/2 that makes cost 1 more next turn

It is hard to see since Dane plays all his Shudderwock quickly during his turn, but there are instances where Shudderwock's battlecries bounce enough other Shudderwock to make Dane's hand full. If his hand would be too full for all the Shudderwock, all the excess (copies with deathrattles) cannot return to hand and simply die to game mechanics, triggering their deathrattles.
Yes but more importantly no. Dopplegangster does triple your Shudderwocks instead of only doubling them, but costs 1 more mana. Additionally, Saronite Chain Gang has taunt, giving the deck a more favorable matchup against pretty much everything. By the time you're Shudderwock comboing, the extra triggers usually won't be the deciding factor whereas SCG vs Dopple is a far more relevant factor.
Druid being good against aggro feels odd, especially from a standard pov. But a few years after even more expansions every class will do well against aggro in wild. It’s inevitable as long as the format and the game exists I suppose
