Experienced musician but Noob recording dude here. Really appreciated this recommendation and the tips. Bought it, installed it, and now enjoying it while making my first YT video.
You have a new sub from Evergreen, CO. Thx!

I honestly haven't cared about a reverb plugin SINCE I got Valhalla Vintage Verb like a million years ago - so grabbing SoundToys SuperPlate was a very pleasant surprise for me!
If anyone is hoping to get this effect with a different reverb, here are a couple ideas for you: You could use a side chain to lower the Reverb channel whenever vocals are happening (not quite the same sound, but still helps keep things clean during vocal passages), or you could MANUALLY automate the decay time on your chosen reverb plugin of choice (which would be a ton of work, but it is possible to do!)
PS - thanks for watching! Let me know where in the world you're watching from!

H-reverb …. Never heard of it? Lol

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure H-Reverb supports level ducking - which isn’t the same as changing the decay length parameter, so that would actually be another thing entirely.
