The prayer at the end brought tears to my eyes. Such a vulnerable position for Brandon. Very religious people often tend to be conservative, and I'm hopeful hearing this message from a peer might help a few of them gain a new perspective. Here's this very devout Mormon white man, raised in predominantly white environments, speaking out for Black Lives Matter from a position of faith. Very moving.

This reminds me of 2001 and the connection this country had immediately to U2’s ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’, as well as the special live act that followed 9/11.
I believe Brandon and the boys nailed this one with extreme empathy and appropriate timing. I cannot wait to feel that emotion with them once the tour hits for ‘Imploding the Mirage’.

But if you're the wrong color skin
You grow up looking over both your shoulders
In the land of the free
How many killers must one man watch in his home,

Land of the free, land of the free

There are a few small typos! Fixed it:
      [Verse 1]:
Can't wipe the wind-blown smile from across my face
It's just the old man in me
Washing his truck at the Sinclair station
In the land of the free
His mother, Adeline's family, came on a ship
Cut coal and planted a seed
Down in them drift mines of Pennsylvania
In the land of the free
      Chorus:
(Land of the free, land of the free)
In the land of the free
(Land of the free, land of the free)
(Land of the free, land of the free)
In the land of the free
      Verse 2:
When I go out in my car, I don't think twice
But if you're the wrong color skin
You grow up looking over both your shoulders
In the land of the free
How many killings must one man watch in his home
'Till he sees the price on the tag?
8 measured minutes and 46 seconds,
      Another boy in the bag
      Another stain on the flag
      Chorus:
(Land of the free, land of the free)
In the land of the free
(Land of the free, land of the free)
Move on there's nothing to see
(Land of the free, land of the free)
In the land of the free
      (Bridge):
Father in Heaven, hear our plea
Father in Heaven, help us see
How to lose our hatred and find your favor
How to break these cycles and change our nature
That we may walk underneath your banner
In the land of the free
      Chorus:
(Land of the free, land of the free)
In the land of the free
(Land of the free, land of the free)
There's room for you and for me
(Land of the free, land of the free)
In the land of the free

@@NESherv in the beginning, it's 'it's just the old man AND me'... he and his dad are washing his dad's truck.

I used to think this song was wrong and wasn’t what the killers used to write. I don’t care about that anymore this is so powerful! Take a bow for taking a stand!
