It’s not magic. Volvo has been doing this for years. My old 2016 Freightliner Cascadia had a 14.8 liter engine. It made 455/1650. My new Volvo vnl760 has a 12.8 making 455/1750.

New C13D 456-690 hp 2360 lb-ft torque
Which both engines will pretty much put both your Cascadia and your Volvo engines back on the trailer.
