When you’re 3-0 up, you want to rest your important players so that they’re fresh for the next game and expect the senior players off the bench to manage the game better. This is why i don’t back the manager. Rashford and Hojlund aren’t performing so his answer is to not change anything.
It felt like Ten Hag did nothing to change the game after momentum shifted, at 3-0, 3-1 this point it should’ve been dominate possession kill the momentum Coventry were building but nothing changed. The keeper is time wasting to the point of being carded at 3-0 up. Even the Coventry manager a championship manager was making more tactical changes, switching formation from the first half from 5 at the back to 4 moving the RB to RM for part of the second half then moving him back to RB after making subs and adjusting more.
Tavares was also a high impact sub, he got injured and had to go off too but even in that short time it made an impact.
To say you don’t have the tools in the club against a championship side also seems crazy to me. Its a 45 mill RB playing at LB and a 60mill cdm playing at CB. If they’re not good enough to fill a very similar position to what they play anyway for one game against a side with a lot less quality, experience and resources they need to be moved on. It’s against a side that all time highest transfer fee doesn’t even break 10mill. Against a side that didn’t even have a home stadium recently.
The players also don’t play for the manager or club, when Coventry were getting back in the game you could see the passion they had literally running into the ground against a team that should be way better than them and wiping the floor with them. There was no leadership or passion. It seems like the club lacks characters that can step up

He inherited a shit show and a lot of weak minded garbage players. It takes more than a few transfer windows to get rid of the rot. He hasn't been able to play the team he wants since he's arrived, teams been plagued with injuries from day one and its only gotten worse this season.
The players have no situational awareness. You can't make them do what you want and you can't play for them. There's been so many games where they were comfortably ahead and the players got greedy trying to attack when they needed to manage the game, or they simply made amateur mistakes being absent minded.
They managed to earn silverware last season (tho not the most prestigious) and get back into champions league. And this was a team, on paper, that was worse than what United have now.
This season they're still floating around 6th despite the numerous games where they dropped signicant points. Had the players no fucked themselves top 4 would be in sight. And they've managed to get to the FA cup final 2 years in a row with half the team playing like shit or not even caring about the outcome, just cashing a cheque

ETH is right, we are down to our 5th choice CBS no LB, 1 striker, and Rashy is like playing a man down. His only decisions that I question was Antony who was starting to be dropped and Rashy who should never wear the shirt again.

@@KingBarse We came third place because Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea played like shit. Our away games were abysmal. We got slaughtered 6-3 vs City and 7-0 vs Liverpool. There were signs of improvement but in general we were lucky to land third at the end of the season.

I think he is not realising the issues, unfortunately. Rashford played a below average game. AMID should have replaced it earlier. I couldn't understand why Ganacho was taken off instead of Rashford. United did play well in the first 20 minutes, and penalty shoot out. The rest was Coventry.

This illustrates that Erik ten Hag, in his post-match conference, does not understand how a Manchester United fan can perceive the entire team as lazy. He lacks control and appears to be in denial, using the team's appearance in two cup finals over two years as a way to deflect from the fact that elements of United are complacent. They rest on their laurels, lack drive, and yet they are highly compensated for their efforts.
“… they have to take responsibility.” Any reason why this man simply cannot hold his players accountable for their lack of composure and passion? Rashford should have been benched MONTHS ago. He doesn’t press. He doesn’t track back. He is wasted space.

He took Garnacho out and the jigsaw fell apart.he brought out Anthony who was waiting to be served and never proactive as Garnacho was, take a look at the game and see how it deteriorated the minute he took him out.
