I'm saying motortrend magazine timed this car at 8.5 using the manual version and critiqued it for being to slow. Either the manual is not as quick or there was something wrong with their test car.
@@robbybahnsen_15RCould have been something wrong with the car, but if I remember correctly the car required 2 shift to get to 60mph? Also Hyundai tuned the car so that drivers can abuse it too harshly when launching which means it will be slower to 60 than an Si stock for stock. Now the DCT model is way quicker in that regard.
Do you have an Engine mount installed? I have the same vehicle and an engine mount plus better tires improved the 0-60. Engine mount killed the wheel hop. I also ordered coilovers

@@MrTherandomvidsguy try again, yeah I'm familiar with SXTH, but don't have any faith in them releasing anything that would increase power for the N lines. The aftermarket for this car is really a let down so far.

@@MrJrod899 honestly i came from a fiesta st, and theoretically they have the same engine making the same numbers but the nline weighs like 300 more lbs and the n line in manual was so disappointing to drive compared to the fiesta st
@@MrJrod899 unlike some cars that have a type of “octane learn”, think Elantra N, ecoboost engines from Ford, the Mazda turbo engines, 93 octane on these cars (1.6t in the n-line / Forte GT) wont make them any faster really. I have a ‘21 Forte GT2, and with dragy ive tested my car with 93 and 89 , no dif in performance, biggest factor that will determine your time is ability to get traction (road surface, tire condition and how warmed up they are), and weather and air condition (temps and DA)… Ive noticed the elantra n line with the new engine is actually a tad bit slower than the Forte GT that, as of this date, has not yet received the smartstream 1.6t engine. With that said, the Forte runs a best of 6.27 sec with and avg of 6.4-6.67 sec (89 and 93)… Without a launch bc that actually slows it down due to not having a launch control feature and ultimately being a economical car dry dct lol The best ive seen this car do is 6.55 sec and avg 6.6-6.85
@@M4B21S88 yesssir no change in speed here trying 87, 89, 91 & 93 lol 6 speed manual forte GT and my personal best is 6.73, 3k clutch dump with 28 psi and traction control off while I adjust the throttle to make sure I just don't one tire fire the whole way (no LSD)...with the All season kumhos!!!
@@slow_rednline4874 they're exactly the same performance wise. 2023 loses wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for a bigger infotainment screen and digital dash that's it.
@@MrJrod899 this drives like a manual ..my dct doesn't do that..it's Def quicker with a dct..I have a 23 myself ..it's slightly modded .I have a veloster n aftermarket front mount and lower engine mount jb4 tune and 2.5 turbo back muffler and resonator delete. I'm in the process of fabbing an intake ..then going to throttle body and new hot and cold pipes to go with the new cooler..it's pretty . My car doesn't do all the wheel hop shit either..I have set of michelin pilot sport 4s on the way to me. I have had the car about a week🤷🏿♂️
Wait for the new elantra N turbo, 0-60 in 5 seconds

Man it shifts 3 times before 60. Very low geared. Bet with a jb4 or something like that, car would be pretty nasty.

Yeah it's quicker with 93 octane too. This is on 87 octane
