Place a pin in the center of Crimea and draw a1000mile circle from that center. This covers all discussed today. From Yulia T. to V. Z. I have watched the Democrats plot for control of Crimea with the goal of forcing Russia out of it's long battle of a warm water port, the US wants Russia out of the Black sea and the bridge dismantled. If the US doesn't get the Crimea this war will go nuclear. Look closely at the world map from Crimea as center of a 1000 mile radius and count the stars and stripes within the circle and all the involvement, be it military or political. Crimea...or we all die, you decide. I feel that is the sentiment of the cold war boomers. I.m 60 living in the Seattle area...It''s hear too. Be well,

Opening the Syrian front was a very smart move from the side of the US and its ally Israel, especially getting Turkey on their side. A very poor strategic thinking and intelligence gathering from the Russian and Syrian part which will be interpreted as a sign of the weakness of Russia in the region. It may turn into a game changer in the entire conflict between Russia and the West. Where are the political and global military strategists of Russia ?

China will be watching this carefully as it can ultimately affect them as well.

Rybar is correct about the Syrians, and this applies to all Arab armies. The last Arab army that was capable was that of Saladin, almost a thousand years ago. Arabs are not strategists. They are traders not makers. They live off the moment, a quick deal a tactical offer. They have never developed strategic thinking which is what you need when you build complex technologies and develop countries over decades. The result is what we see in the whole middle-east , just one big mess for centuries. One bruhaha.🎉

But the reality is the Russians after 2years + are still in the Donbass area and have not crossed the Dnipro when in 2022 everybody thought they would have taken a lot more in a matter of weeks. In WW2 the Germans went from Poland to Moscow in 6 months, in Iraq the US went from Basra to Baghdad in 3 weeks so Russia is hardly looking like an efficient all conquering army. What we are seeing is incompetence, a lack of intelligent strategy and we keep hearing from troops that logistics, medical care being substandard. He talks about shutting down the electrical grid 2 + years into the war. The US took out the Iraqi electrical grid in 48 hours and that was probably a big reason why they were in Baghdad in 3 weeks. Mark Slaboda can't just, like Ritter and McGregor give an unbiased dispassionate analysis of the war with Zero criticism of Putin or the Russian military.

Your logic is flawed. You miss the elephants grazing on your dining table. Russia's version of ((shock/awe)) is a great deal more potent than the one used on Iraq 23 years ago. Maybe that gives you a clue(?) It didn't until now.

Yeah of course, Ukraine is winning. The US too. The only problem we have is our 37 trillion dollar debt and the fact we pay more interest on it than our military budget. It doesn't matter because we can continue printing money. And no, the debt will never reach 200 trillion even if it is raised by a trillion every month. That has nothing to do w Ukraine. You're a real genius.
