Good question! As it's a bit hard to give you a good answer here in the comments, any chance you could post your question on our Facebook Group and one of our community members can give you a hand;) If you could post some screenshots of your issue too that would be super helpful! If you're not already a member you can join free here: facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts/
Great tutorial!! I do have a question: when I try to apply materials after baking I have had a lot of problems, like not rendering or losing the animations entirely. Do I have to apply materials before baking, maybe?

That's great to hear you're starting your Cinema 4D Jouney! The best thing to do is just get in there and practice! Tutorials will help but sometimes its good to do something more structured. You could try one of our corses if you like, the jellybean factory is a great one for beginners as it takes you through a lot of the different parts of cinema 4d. You can find it here: cgshortcuts.com/courses/cinema4d-looping-animation/ Also I'd suggest joining our Facebook Group where you can get help and support from the community here: facebook.com/groups/CGShortcuts We'll also be adding a bunch of great resources to our website you might want to check out too: cgshortcuts.com/. All the best with your learning! BTW we'll add your tutorial idea to the list;)

I use Octane to render tutorials however not everyone has access to the plugin, so I dont always go through the process (as it's often the same steps each time). If you want to see exactly how I've done the lighting and texturing, all the final render ready project files (which include all the lighting, materials and render settings) can be downloaded from our Patreon page here: www.patreon.com/cgshortcuts we also hope to do more indepth courses and tutorials about lighting and rendering soon;) Thanks for watching!
