They’re family oriented and wants to see their partners happy, especially a Foreign partner. I’ve also seen Chinese women leave their husbands for another woman’s husband. There are good and bad. You probably need to learn Chinese languages and culture before you go to China. Even though, you are living in China for few years, you still need to learn more about Chinese culture, history, languages and so on. You need to go out to make Chinese friends, you will learn what Chinese man wants. Do Chinese man want to marry westerner or not? Some Chinese man are shy or don't want to learn English. you need to pay attention on Chinese man who like wester culture very much and open minded.

I am Chinese descent myself, from Malaysia. I am disagree that western girl being selfish because it is bias. In the West, people prioritise individual happiness rather than sacrifice it for the sake of other people or family member. Second " western girl " is a vague term. Canadian, American, Australian, Eastern European, Western European, Southern European, they are all different.
My wife is a good wife because she’s a good person not because she’s Chinese. Because I’ve dated some terrible women in China before I met my amazing wife.
