with roblox having a very unmoderated UGC program as is, Roblox decided to finally make UGC to the public and oh my god, it's so horrible. We're getting some horriblle stuff uploaded to the site, and this video was recorded only A FEW HOURS AFTER it's release. it's literally gotten way worse and im scared for the future of the site

I actually like ugc being public, it allows anyone to make their own hats for their avatars. rule-breaking hats have been an issue for a while now so it's nothing new. the main problem is the horribly greedy prices for selling ugc, especially limiteds.

guessing why they have these ideas are made and put into Roblox, is either they were intended or they were just suggested. Back then they had limitations in technology so they couldn’t make RTHRO. So I’m guessing why some of the updates we never asked for, was the previous vision or just a bad idea. I’m also guessing that we got to that we got attached to the inferior model of Roblox, being blocky or whatever.
Can someone explain to me the dinosaur hat and it's problem? I don't have access to the mesh and can't take a look for myself and by the one image of it circling around, I can't really tell what's wrong with it besides for how badly made it is.

It should go back to what it was like when UGC just got added in late 2019. The time of UGC when you had to pass alot of things to actually release UGC items..
Back then in 2019 when Ugc was brought to some exclusive people I thought this was the best thing Roblox has done so far since I’ve always wanted to make ugc but now it’s literally a dumpster fire rn

This is the beginning of an empires fall, they had everything, a good player base to draw ideas, below average (putting it nicely) moderation, and a SH*T-ton of money, now they're throwing everything away
This doesn’t even go over some of the items that infringe on copyright for other companies.
One I saw was a Pikachu mask, which I found very ironic considering what happened to Brick Bronze. Copious piles of Star Wars helmets, a Peter Griffin model, Sprite Can, a Minions item, and even real life fashion like a New York Yankees hat.
Give it a week and Roblox can get sanctions or sued from several companies that eclipse them in every single form of the word.
Their negligence will cost them and the company has no one to blame but themselves.
5:00 - You actually can't just upload a spongebob drivers licence to roblox... people made those screenshots as a joke. Roblox actually outsourced verification to veriff who's actually a quite competent company and it's very difficult to get verified through fraudulent means.
Ngl public ugc's can be good as long as they examine a product that's about to be released before making it public, like maybe monitoring it for 10 minutes using an AI is already decent.
