So I played this mod before is was removed (not long after you made the first vid), if you like NOT dying every 0.5 seconds complete your world and get OP gear BEFORE killing wall of shadow and then you may have a chance at surviving the ridiculous mobs that will spawn
I do wish mod devs would move past the bullet hell nonsense, seeing as that's such an uninspired concept with mods now just as eye and worm bosses were before, but that "Scarab" boss looked pretty neat when it wasn't a bullet hell. Four things chained to you, fighting you with geometric patterns? I like that aspect.

it's annoying because terraria is uniquely unsuited to be a bullet hell game, considering the momentum-based movement, finite wing time (for most of the game) and dashes that toss you halfway across the screen (looking at you calamity). double annoying is the insistence on "tELeGraPhInG" every attack which makes these fights ugly as sin. I also love how Re-Logic BTFO'd the modding scene by adding EoL, which is both light bullet hell and has telegraphs but actuallly utilises the core of terraria boss fights, which have always been about manipulating enemy AI rather than actually dodging (like how the best way to dodge the skulls that skeletron shoots out is not to try and weave between them but to just circle around the boss)

Few mods understand that just like minecraft, doing things to "break" the game like getting into temple early or using a setup to cheese bosses or using a ai to just kill enemys when they cant attack you IS part of what makes the game fun so i do agree but i do think dodging is still the main intented path.

Im actually playing the mod and i can say it has many problems with themes of balanced and other things: 1 - Technically every boss they do attacks and moves fast, u can't dodge very easily or at the point u just can't because u can't see what touch you. The Diver is pain and maybe the worst off all of this, the second one is the Motherbrain this boss i really liked very much, but is totally unbalanced, the conecept of this boss is was something i wanted to see in vanilla, Priestess rod is another boss but this is more quiet balanced except when it has low health. Now when we talk about post-moon lord content the hings become a bit more crazy, the feeling of progress is very bad, bosses hurt you in the point can insta-kill wearing the armor of moon-lord. Here in this part u can choice betweet The overwatcher, The materializer or Lifebringier. The only more easy to kill is Lifebringier and once u get the armor of this boss everything become a slighty more adjust to the actual bosses, but is like a heavy change instead of a slower progress. The time reaction mostly give u less than 2 seconds to react. 2 - Drops from bosses are bad, This is specially for Priestless Rod and Motherbrain. 3 - When u kill the wall of shadow it's start like a "second hardmode" and there is enemies who directly kill you with just 1 hit making 600 - 550 damage (Valkyries with armor), at this point the game don't explain you or give tracks in what you have to do. At first time i was thinking i needed to fight with slime god, but no, even the boss check list is not in order. 4 - Mobs from this mod has High spawn rate and they ignore if u have npc's in buildings to reduce the spawn. I saw the zombie bucket in all places at the point i really get mad and i installed a mod to put it into a blacklist for remove on the playtrough. Not mentioned the sprites of mobs in general seem to be are not matching in the place/biome, when i enter to the deset i feel like everything is a mess huge lmao. I know the mod still underconstruction, but it has a lot of work to do still and i feel a bit empty this mod when i play this, more i feel like is pretty random like it was Tremor mod. The only i loved was the fight against "The overwatcher", "The materializer" and "The brieflinger?" great ost. Ignoring the idea is like a Mechanical bosses but boosted and not mech.
GitdudWO i found a bug in calamity if you use the melee effects mod with the glorius pursuer it can charge the swing like a sword and shoot out like 5 of them doing like 800k dps
Hey if like to point out the entirety of the scarab boss makes up the scarab. The pattern in the middle is more of a pattern per day cultural thing however makes up the centre of it followed by bits up the top being it’s mandibles etc if looked at hard enough u might notice it.
