Disciples are not Christians.
Disciples are learners of Christ who are also known as students, pupils or as children of Christ.
The actual Greek word used for "Disciple" in the New Testament using a Greek Bible Lexicon gives the meaning of student, pupil, learner etc.
A person can not become a disciple of Christ unless they first repent and are also baptized with water for the remission of sins.
A disciple of Christ only becomes a Christian once they have suffered and passed many spiritual trials, tests, temptations and tribulations which is termed the "Lake of Fire" before they can be baptized with the Holy Spirit and triumph over evil, conquer death and resurrect into Eternal Life in which they attain salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
The whole purpose in being a disciple of Christ and having to suffer and pass through the many spiritual trials, tests, temptations and tribulations of discipleship is designed to purify the souls of disciples which will enable them to overcome or conquer spiritual death and resurrect into Eternal Life as a Christian.
A spiritually resurrected person is a Christian who is no longer a disciple of Christ because they have conquered spiritual death and therefore have resurrected into Eternal Life before they die a normal physical death.
OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) otherwise known as the doctrine of "Grace" or "Eternal Security" only applies to those who have been baptized by the Holy Spirit because they are "Sealed" by the Holy Spirit.
However, those who have only been baptized by water are in danger of receiving no salvation because they haven't been baptized and sealed by the Holy Spirit and therefore can backslide into sin.
Jesus has not made it easy.
The path to salvation is a very perilous journey and full of numerous spiritual trials, tests, temptations and tribulations all of which Jesus faced and conquered himself by becoming the "Perfect" example for all of us to follow.
We all need to suffer like Jesus did before we can be saved.
99% of Christians believe that a person can be saved simply by believing that Jesus came into the world to save them by dying for their sins and that's it.
That is not what salvation is.
Salvation has to be earned by suffering and passing many spiritual trials, tests, temptations and tribulations just like Jesus did himself to show us how to do the same by following in His footsteps.
An individual can only earn salvation by dying before they die, they need to die to self, their ego needs to be annihilated so that it never ever comes back to life.
This is the spiritual triumph over evil, it is the inner battle as described in the book of Revelation quite clearly to those who have spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see.
