i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Justin Drew Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks again for these vids.. I've been loving the MC707, but it's so deep! I feel like I need a million hours of training. Also there is a write protect setting in the ... global? settings page.. or project manage maybe? that I think disables the second prompt when saving. Haven't tested it but noticed it while deep diving.
Cool video but one question...return channels? I would need multiple effects on a single return channel so I can send from the fx knobs during a performance. Can this be done?
Major clip chain issue: tones with longer release times cut off when changing to new clip. This makes chain useless to create longer sequences using a tone that uses longer sustained notes. And definitely can’t be called a song mode.
Hey man. Thanks for taking the time to post this. Question... one thing I love about a dedicated drum machine like tr8s is the faders for the drum voices... how hard is it to live mix the individual drum voices in a drum track? Are there clever shift combos or anything or is it “dive into drum voice in menu and tweak a parameter”? Thanks again!
you can hold Shift plus press a drum pad to get to the pad settings for each pad, including volume. Its not as easy as dedicated faders per drum voice, but it's doable.
Thanks for the video! Mine just came in on Wednesday and I love it. How do you go about saving your synth presets? Is the only way to do this in the clip?
@@tarekith Seems odd as to no count in! Hopefully in a future update! Do you record live in using a midi keyboard? (Mainly how i intend to use the 707) I guess theres workarounds the no count in... -Would you just use the metronome, 1234, come in on the 5th and then delete the empty bar/s? Another question.. - 8 bar clip is the longest you can do?? Hope you don't mind the questions, have been doing a lot of forum reading & googling to try avoid the silliest ones!
Alex Radlinski I just let the pattern play through once before I start recording usually. Yes 8 bars is the longest you can have. No I don't use a midi keyboard, I treat grooveboxes as completely self contained and use the built in pads to play them usually.
It really gets interesting when you start controlling hardware midi and looping audio. It's an idea machine. I still master everything through Ableton and Reason just for the plug in flexibility. The eq section is kinda strange. Great video!!!
Here's a question for you; How is this a live performance machine if you can't jump between projects without pausing the music. Live playing with one project is fun for like 10 minutes, but then you want to jump to a new sound/track right? With different synths and drums etc. Or is there a way you can do this that I don't know about? I would to crate a live set for like 1hour or so. What do you think?
Stefan Kroezen I put all of my music for a live set I one project. The 8 scenes I have in this video would last me about 30 minutes or so, so a full sixteen scenes would e enough for an hour. That's how I plan on using it anyway.
Man, when you were talking about not pressing enter and losing your cool sound; these things should have version control like the rest of the world. You could follow the path of creation and never worry about trying something wack and moving forward.
After reading the revenue manual, I’m a little unclear on the semantics of a “measure”. So in measure mode you set length of clip in steps. You can also copy a measure as well. There is also a copy clip function. So is each clip a measure? This seems backward to me. I would think you would have measures within a clip. Could you let me know where my thinking is going wrong? Thanks. My only concern about buying a 707 is I like extended time duration ambient pad loops and wondering if I’m gong to be limited by the 128 steps. I can’t just set lower tempo because than faster arps and sequences would go slow (or maybe increasing resolution would solve this?) I’m thinking clip/measure resolution settings could help me achieve super long clips but not sure. Any help would be much appreciated!
Compared to the other MC grooveboxes that Roland came out with back in the day this one is pretty ugly...There's no color on these boxes they are just black.. hate to tell you the truth the sounds on it are not that original. I use to own the MC 303 the MC 307 and the MC 505 those were incredible sounding groove boxes. If you can get your hands on some of the older group boxes I do recommend it.
This is one of the better series on the 707, thank you very much! You’re very straightforward and good with explanations. The pace feels right too 👍
Thanks for the new video! Lots of good info. I’ve got the day off tomorrow...gonna spend the day getting quality time with my MC-707!
I watched this vid a while ago. It helped me decide to buy the 707. Thank you! A fantastic instrument and deeper than I imagined. 👍😎

sounds dope! thank you! even those little rrrrrrrrt rrrrrrrrrt rrrrrrrrrt noise when you tweak the nobs is nice... (: Cheers!
loving your video! waited for it :) thanks
More to come, I'm sure.
nice video.. im gonna buy something soo im in between deluge, mc 707, trs8 or something from elektron.. tough desicion, any tips?

You can write protect specific projects if you want, that's about as close as you'll get but it works great.
nice overview and tracks :)
Thanks!

You can use a daw to bounce everything so you can sustain the parts you want. And than make a Final mix👍
How do I automatically repeat the clip playback the required number of times before it switches to the next one?
...whatabout undo on the fly?
Yes you can just save often then reload clip to return to last saved version

Yes, clips are the only way you can save presets, though you can load clips from any project on the SD Card.
tarekith Thanks!
Is there a recording pre-roll or count in on the 707?
Alex Radlinski sadly no, I’d love to see that too.

Looks fun but no comparison to elektron...even electribe for that matter.
Negative. Synth engine is far superior in this
You can get a cool skin for this....
From where?
And do they do one for the TR8s?

Clips can be between one and eight measures/bars long, it's up to you to decide how long you want them.

How can you say the MC303 - which sucked, quite frankly, looked good? That massive groovebox logo is so 90s it hurts.
Just dig in and find some of the old presets...
