Ah yes, Runway 27. One of America's largest cities with only ONE active runway. This brings back great childhood memories. My father, brother and I watching jets come in and take off for hours on end. San Diego(SAN) used to allow for much closer spotting. Today what used to be a prime spotting location is now a private parking lot. There's only one place remaining and it's farther away from the action near Harbor Blvd. As far as this video is concerned, it appears that the footage was primarily taken from that infamous parking structure that is right in the flight path of the runway. San Diego spotters and airline passengers who look left while landing at SAN might recognize it. I've never been up there but you're so close to the planes that if you stretch your arms up you might touch 'em as they land.
By Fall 2017 these will be the heavies going to san diego Hawaiian A332 Delta 763 Japan Airlines 788 Charters like 787, 777, or 747 British Airways 747 or 777 Edelwiess A343 Fedex DC-10-10 or -30 UPS 763 DHL 762
I love your videos, I already bought the Air France 747, and A380 video and they are really good, makes me even more want to be a pilot. Keep up the great work. PS. You should do a video with a Virgin Atlantic in the future that would be really cool
"...with a Virgin." Is that have a virgin alongside while filming the vid or do a video with a virgin in the frame. I allow my sophomoric attitude to come out unnecessarily but could not resist this go round.
Nice job! I've seen some other spotting videos from San Diego, and it looks like a pretty spotter-friendly airport. Heck, I've seen videos of people spotting from a neighborhood above the main runway!
Where did you perform the plane spotting from? Would love to shoot some long exposure images of these giants taking off and sync all the pictures together to make one giant image.
I saw the Japan Airlines 787 once here in San Diego... it was amazing.
That Delta MD-90 rotate was ridiculous LOL
This makes me miss my home town quite a lot.
