For me personally this is game of the decade, not because of the good graphics, gameplay, or story. But because this game is a proof that video games are much more than what everyone thinks, it's not just for fun or a waste of time. This game alone with all the research and depiction Ninja theory put in it has helped us all on a personal level. So I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation to what Ninja Theory have done here.

I suffer badly with depression and even though I don't have the issues Senua has, I feel completely at home when I play this game. I would had gladly paid them 60 bucks for it.

This game deserves all the accolades it has recieved and more. Its a fantastic game that looks great, plays well and has an interesting concept behind it. And there is no microtransactions, season passes or DLC involved. You get the complete package for $30, this are the types of games that need to be supported.
As a player of this magnificent game, I understood her immense menthal struggle. It was a memorable tough journey. Now that I saw this trailer and red the messages sent by fans, I burst out crying... Truly heartbreaking messages. No one deserve to go through this. Hope you guys can help each other out.
While playing this game I had to pause a few times because it was so emotional, and I know exactly how senua felt. I too was diagnosed with schitzoprenia and depression a along with anxiety. I haven't completed the game yet, but I will. Its a masterpiece and should be game of the year.
The best part about this trailer is that there isn't a single "IGN rating: 10/10" anywhere. The part that makes me cry is all the messages that were sent to Ninja Theory. This is why Hellblade is and always will be my all-time favorite game. I'm going to go play it for the dozenth time now.

I stand by what I said in my live stream. This game is a sincere 10/10. Yes it has some simple mechanics but you know what. They weren't bad mechanics, they worked and felt responsive all throughout. Ninja Theory you did good with this game and to this day your game is number 1 on my top 10 games of the year and definitely in my top 100 of all time.
I understand the physical thing. But this game stands for something. Showing AAA that AAA titles can be made without them. Others would sell this DL copy for full retail price like everything out on the market right not. This is $30! It's GOLD for that price! Simply a good game. So all I can say is support good things. Or get used to Loot boxes and $60 incomplete titles.
No doubt, It is a masterpiece where each scene itself can be exhibited in a gallery. It's also making people realize how heavy psychosis can be. BUT there is another more important layer to this game after all. It's a game about any of us. We all have our missions. We all hear "voices" that tell us "you can do it", "you will fail". We all face fears or "demons" that paralyse us. We all encounter tests. We all sometimes feel horrified or blessed. Sometimes left alone in the dark. We all have different viewing angles. It's inherited with life. The game's director, at the end of extra content, says he was puzzled how to present a psychotic character in a convincing way for healthy people. In the end, he realised the question was wrongly stated. We all are psychotic and that is why we are unique. That's why there is progress in the world, that's why there is a depth in any of us. Acknowledging this moves the game from great entertainment with an educational objective to a personal learning project about how to fully appreciate our lives. How to follow our hearts, how to conquer fears, how to trust ourselves. In the end, we all learn how to open up new paths in life and appreciate all the moments. I literally lack the words to express the awe I am in.

I even dreamed a dream when in the dream itself I had to choose if I want to die or stay alive. I actually chose to live. I never understood why in my subconscious want to live and after waking up from that dream I remember i cried so much ny eyes burned. I fight with my self because in real life I don't want to but in the back of my head apparently I do. My family through me out and I live with my grandma after my parents didn't want me to live with them anymore. I can't work because of anxiety. I cut myself twice this year, but no one seems to care about my condition getting worse. So I do not care too. Those treatments worth nothing. I asked for help myself, but the only help I got is a free psychologist asking once a week how am I feeling. Any one can ask how I feel today!!!! That is not HELP. there's no actual help. Sorry to ruin for u guys. If you got mental sickness in the middle of your life, for no visible reason, you're fucked. I read once that "a person who decided in his mind to die, WILL eventually do it". so I'm asking- when will I get that stupid nerve to do what is needed?

Hellblade proves how games can tell a story and portray a character better than any book or movie. It's the most immersive story telling medium. Calling a masterpiece like this a "game" doesn't seem right. It is SO much more.

I'll be honest the puzzles got a bit much for me in this game but getting to the end, seeing the whole message, it's amazing what ninja theory has done. A message to all dealing with various mental illnesses in my eyes granted I never really understood psychosis and schizophrenia till this game and to those of you out there who deal with the conditions daily I hope this game gives those around a better understanding to hopefully help you all cope better if they don't already.
Watching this video is what made me get the game. I was not disappointed! It did so well not only showing how I deal with my own darkness but made me feel powerful. Senua is so inspiring - she's brave in the face of terrible fear, compassionate in the face of cruelty, strong in the face of being beaten down again and again. She's beautiful and wonderful and I loved being a part of her.
