This was incredible. Heart wrenching but incredible. I'd feel horrible for letting her down and not being there to protect her. Task 1: get Genevieve somewhere safe and protected. Task 2: comfort her and make her feel safe again. Task 3: find vampire that turned her and get revenge.
This is the first time listening to a reverse comfort and dang did it make me sad. I want only good things for Genevieve. Just hearing her go from her silly, adorable voice mails to this, it breaks my heart. I love all your characters, but I honestly think she may be my new fave. I just wanna give her the biggest hug 😭😭

Though considering she was just attacked and left in an alley, it may have been a freshly turned person who lost control. Or just some lunatic who let themselves get too hungry. I don't want to immediately attribute malice to a random vampire attack. I don't know why though, that's a weird reflex. I don't know the mechanics of turning in your world, but if it requires something particular like sharing blood, then this had to be deliberate. You're too good at conveying emotion, I was getting all twisted up listening to her last voice message, let alone when we get to her place.
