  • An operational amplifier (op-amp) can be configured to perform multiplication functions. One common configuration is the analog multiplier circuit.
In an analog multiplier circuit, two input signals are applied to the op-amp, and the output is the product of these signals.
The basic configuration involves using the op-amp in a differential amplifier setup.
Input Signals (Vin1 and Vin2): The two signals you want to multiply are applied to the inverting (-) and non-inverting (+) inputs of the op-amp.
    Feedback Network:
A feedback network is introduced to form a closed-loop circuit. The feedback network typically includes resistors.
    Output (Vout):
The output voltage of the op-amp represents the product of the input voltages.
The key is to carefully choose resistor values and configure the circuit to achieve the desired multiplication factor. Analog multipliers are used in various applications, including signal processing and modulation.
