    I've used a freezer bag, for 30 min, at level one and had no problems. I don't carry glass with me, because it's just to heavy with the amount of things I have to carry as a flight attendant. But, I do have a favorite silicone collapsible bowl that works fine at every level.

    You can get an very close estamet
    By multiplying 2 C° to F° same for miles to kilometers. An hot day in Australia is from 40°C upwards. I hope that helps you.

      Ummm not sure what you mean by this. You saying you can multiply the degree in Celsius by 2 to get close to the Fahrenheit degree? Because that’s not close at all. 40c is 104F. Not 80F

    After watching this I ordered the 12 volt SabotHeat device. I'm excited to try it in my van (minivan life rocks). Thank you for sharing this product review. I enjoy all of your videos. I now own several of the Dash products you showcase.

      What kind of minivan do you have? I'm thinking of getting a van or minivan some time in the future.

      @Counter Cooking I drive a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. I've been enjoying full-time minivan life for almost 2 years. It's not all unicorns & butterflies, but it's better than sitting around one place all the time. If you have questions, I will gladly answer what I can.

      Have you used the Sabot heat in your van yet? I'm just outfitting my Sienna for travel and camping (not full time) and I'm looking into the hotlogic or the sabot heat.

      @Kelly D I've only used it a couple of times so far, but I love it! I used the HotLogic before, and it would take hours to cook anything. I was in New Mexico a week ago, going to Bandelier National Monument. I had a 30-minute drive to get there. I put a container of pasta and a Johnsonville brot in & set it on high. My lunch was ready and I enjoyed it at the overlook just inside the park. I also used it to keep McDonald's nuggets & fries warm for the grandbabie until their softball game was over. The food wasn't crispy anymore, but they are 5 & 8, it was McDonald's. The only time they get McDonald's is when Memaw rolls into town. Their mom is a health nut. But, the main reason I bought it is to warm water for a 'shower' in the van. I have 2 aluminum water bottles that I warm up in the SabotHeat. They warm up 30-40 minutes for a nice rinse & hair wash. I highly recommend it. Much success with your van. I converted a Chrysler Pacifica. I LOVE living & traveling in my van. June 1st makes two years for me.

      @Kelly D another suggestion if you can power them. I used several of the Dash cooking devices & the MyMini cooking devices. They are great. I have a Jackery 1000 to power them, but you wouldn't need that much for those small devices. Mine is 1000 watts because I have a 45L IceCo frig & an ice maker in my van. Van camping / van living has so many great options for cooking. Watching the Counter Top Cooking videos has offered great recipes & tips, keep an eye on her stuff.

    I'm thinking about getting a SabotHeat Mini Oven. I really like my HotLogic Mini, but there are some things that could work better in a SabotHeat. I also like that you can adjust the heat level and that there's a timer. On the HotLogic, the only way to tell if it's officially working is putting a hand on top and feeling the heat.
    Have you heated up any frozen store-bought TV dinners or cheeseburgers in the SabotHeat? Also, how hot is your countertop after having the SabotHeat on at the highest level? I always have a couple of hot pads under my HotLogic when it's on.

      I haven’t tried TV dinners or cheeseburgers. I have not noticed my counter being exceptionally hot underneath it. Good idea to use hot pads.

      I have both the sabot in car and wall outlet. Absolutely love it!!!! You can heat tv dinners. From refrigerator it can put it on level 2 for an hour and it is hot. Not scorching but hot. If you want it hotter you can bump it up to a 3. If it’s frozen 3 for about an hour and a half will do the trick

    I think I’ll stick with my hot logic, minis, and family size.
    I really haven’t found a need for higher temperatures. At least with anything that I cook.

    Nice concept. I just believe it needs improvement. If it needs to plugged in a wall outlet one is still better off using a microwave. (I understand in an office there may be a line for the microwave but this unit probably takes close to 1/2 hr to heat your food. Which may be too long if you only get 1/2hr for lunch.)

    • @CounterCooking
      @CounterCooking  Год назад +1

      Some people, like myself, never use microwaves. We don’t like the taste and texture of foods cooked in a microwave. In addition, the point of a product like a Sabotheat, is that it gives you the ability to cook just about anywhere because it is small, portable, and light weight. Nobody is going to be carrying a microwave around in a suitcase, backpack, or vehicle.

    • @kdel45
      @kdel45 Год назад +1

      The point is to plug it in and start the cook before your lunch hour. Then it's ready to eat at that time.

      I have this unit as well as the hot logic. I like this unit better. And let me tell you the food taste soooo much better to me using this instead of a microwave. And also if I have something like left over pizza and wrap it in foil my pizza comes out crispy and delicious 😊 ....that doesn't happen in a microwave. And this really doesn't take long to heat food especially on level 6.

    Good info and comparison to the HLM. I love all my 3 minis but having the different temp setting and timer is good. Have you tried it again and does it beep once timer is done? I like the bigger Hot Logic and room to carry other items, will have to watch for a sale. Thanks!!

    Thanks, I hadn't heard of this brand for travel cooking yet. I refuse to buy a HotLogic because of their annoying sales-that-aren't sales (the "sales" always make the prices the exact same throughout the year). When you say you found this one at $19.99 and then found it at half price when it was restocked does that mean you bought it for only $10 ??

    • @CounterCooking
      @CounterCooking  Год назад +1

      I bought it for $19.99 which was half the price that it was previously selling for.
