Those Chevy Luvs are the perfect size truck. Just big enough to move what you need, not so big that you're spending half a check in gas.
Between those and the Ford Couriers, I think they were the best compact truck designs ever.
I miss the 80s.
I quite agree. And I also loved the 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks to which were really good looking little trucks and ran extremely well, easy to work on to.
I used to get a kick out of showing folks the Toyota Luv key,Isuzu valve cover,and Chevy all over.
I removed fuel tank from my Scout and strapped the tank to my tractor and jacked it up, put couple hands full of gravel and nuts and bolts in it and let it rotate about 30 minutes! After removing it it looked like a screen door, had to scrape it!

I had one of those in my younger days. Loved it, we did a 5 state camping trip in it with our dogs. Its was slow and underpowered. Great memories.

Upon concluding watching the video, I agree with Garth ,upon further research I only found the one he spoke of . Its truly not worth that ebay price. One can be fabed up for a lot less. It would be great to see you fab one up . That will give me insight on building one for my project so I can save money as well.

Older S10. Tanks are about the same. N I believe datson pick up n Ford courier. Tanks will fit to. Or. Check ur local radiator . Shop. See if they can boil it in hot tank . An repair it. Luv watching you all.

Just replace the hard lines for the brakes and fund some rubber lines that you can make work. Would think it would be easy to find some rubber lines to make work.

You may try looking for the tank for a Later model Isuzu P'up, or even all the way up to the early 90’s trucks, the last of the actual Isuzu built trucks imported.
I have a '93 Isuzu, and it shares some components that could be retrofitted.
If You wanna keep stuff "original" sometimes You've gotta think outside the box..
This is a split year model, round headlights. It has to be first half 1980 or earlier. Aftermarkets aren't produced, sadly.

my cousin had a Chevy Luv and i thought it was Cool AF but his was only 2WD
if i had one of these i would up the motor to a V6 or V8 or a boosted K20 or K24

Early Chevy S10 are the same as Chevy Luv
Quite correct as they to had Isuzu engines in them. That's what the Chevy LUV truck is, a Isuzu truck built for Chevy. LUV stood for light Utility Vehicle.

Hey guys! I am fixing up a Luv on my youtube page and bought a wrecked parts truck with 58k miles on it. It is a 1975 2wd Luv. If the fuel tank is the same it is in VERY good shape and you can have it for $250/ obo plus the actual shipping cost. Let me know if you are interested in it.

I don't know if the Luv has a name, I would suggest Joe. Not sure if anyone remembers Joe Isuzu from 80's Isuzu commercials.
