It s nice to have a laid back ordinary bloke approach. All your gear stuffed in the car no big bucks motor or tranny , just off you go.Iit must be mind blowing soaking up all the atmosphere and energy of each meet. And exhausting !! thanks again.
Chilly wow for Florida. That was a good sounding run. It looked nice and smooth to. Thank you for the videos of the cars after your initial video. That's a lot of history right there at the museum some of the best dragsters from the past. Not sure how to tune the trans but if you can get it to shift consistently at a rpm lighty higher than the power band of cam and have rpms fall into or just below the power band I bet you could pick a 10th or 2 at the end including 4 to 10 mph. Also being a 6l80e you don't want to blow the converter either as they are kind weak mine has 149k and shutters if I get on it hard enough. Be safe team . Have a good day.
Thanks Jeff! I agree on tuning the trans. It needs to shift where it falls right into the low end of the power band. I bet it would pick up nicely! Good call on the converter, but I’ll likely need a higher stall converter anyway to match the cam.
If you traveling I-70 thru KS between exits 250 and 157 and planning a stop I'd come to say hey. I'm at exit 206 if you have time. I'd understand since we travel back and forth to Vermont.

There is a chance we may drive through the night, but we will keep it in mind Jim! That’s a very generous offer!
Can I get a "ya sure, ya betcha" to go with the Uff-Da? Lol. Keep the rubber side down and have fun!
Hahaha noted Todd!!
Double engine Buick with the exhaust pipes pointing right at the drivers face lol
That thing was wild! Engineering and innovation was crazy back then!
Took a really brave (or confused!) person to sit behind those engines, lol.
Haha right!
Good pass. That old caravan was no slouch.
Dude, that caravan freakin rips for what it is!
6:15 Buick Roadmaster? That is hilarious in a good way... awesome!
4,500 horsepower road master! Steve Morris calls it the BoostMaster Wagon
@@MickelsonRacingChannel I saw it in the other videos too... what a beast, haha.
I guess I missed an opportunity with my Mom's old Caprice wagon back in the day, and all the other wagons she had... she loved those things!
@@mry82 dang, that’s awesome!!!
I was lucky enough to meet Don as a kid in the 80s, even got his autograph. Would be really cool to some day make it out to his museum.
