I noticed that Frankie Valli is flatting a few notes pretty bad in this clip while he was singing but then I also heard from a previous clip also from the "Mike Douglas Show" that he said has a chronic genetic hearing loss that even required surgery in both ears! He even said his hearing was about 30% in one of his ears. I have hearing loss too and I sing, if I don't wear my hearing aids when I sing, even at home, I can't hear if I go off key or not. Of course today they got hearing monitors that go directly in the ears that singers can use while they perform to correct for hearing loss if they need to. I'm sure that Frankie in this clip can sing on key effortlessly but here I'm sure he can't hear himself well enough to stay on key! This stage is not his usual setup, no stage monitors. I don't see how he did it! In his usual stage setup, I'm sure the stage monitors are set up to compensate for his hearing loss, that why he can sing so well live! He's 90 years old today and still performing, amazing! Oh, I saw Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons live four times, the first time in 1967 in Washington DC! They were awesome.
