You and Lott are awesome, brother B! Thanks for showing us another town in the P.I.! Take care, and stay safe, over there! Hey, are there any gyms in that town?
Every Day is an adventure here - live life and enjoy - you are absolutely right - laugh - glad you are enjoying your new digs .. we love Pangasinan - of course everyone here in this small town is Nimfa's relative! Love it - take care - good luck -
In Mangatarem, near our place in Urbiztondo, they have recently re opened pure gold store ( much smaller than the one Brian went to. The previous one, had a fire pre Pandemic. Since when another store ( RCS, based of Tarlac), has opened ( near the market). Still prefer Pure Gold,. tho, wider choice of products. And cheaper fresh chicken 150 a kilo!!
The best part of this video is that it's a new adventure and that your choice of living in the Province just adds to why I enjoy your video's. If I want to see life in the city there's so many people that offer this feature in their content it's becoming boring to see the same old places seen so many times before. Thanks for the new perspective of other things that the Philippines has to offer! Keep them coming Brian!
Brian, I wanted to expand a little bit on my comment on your last vlog. Based on what I saw of your in-laws house and the "improvements' you plan on doing, I wanted to ask if you had considered having a structural engineer take a look at the property before you begin construction. the reason I ask this is due mainly to seeing the 1st floor of the house in it's current condition. With all the things you will be adding on the 2nd floor, you could possibly have structure integrity issues due to the low level of footing/foundation of the house as it currently sits. It may cost more in the long run if, during monsoon season for example, when the ground gets saturated with water and the entire structure becomes unstable. I just was wondering if you had already looked into any of this and having someone come out a give the current property an assessment before you spend BIG peso.....just a thought...either way, hope it works out for you and look forward to your new life and the updates....
Im excited and really happy for you its too bad your island is a whole island away from my Barangay. I will follow soon Brian..just a few more years left.
Wish you guys the best! Gringo living in Panama City, Panama for 12 years. Moving outta the city hopefully by next year with my family...tired of the traffic, petty theft, noise. Looking forward to it!!
Hi Brian. I've been a fan and have watched your shows even b4 the choof. I will miss Angelis city but yeah, your happiness is my happiness. Lots of luv to your wife and the whole of your beautiful family for sharing and educating me on the Philippines and the people . Respectfully , Glen .

It looks a great place . 🌴🇵🇭 scott expat in the Philippines 🌴🇵🇭 arleneINDAYLYNZ 🇵🇭 🌴
You have to do what is best for your family and what makes you happy, People who criticize should really mind their own business. I'm sure they wouldn't want someone telling them where to live. Thanks for the video.
The negative comments are coming from 30 yo guys who probably still live with their parents. Never had a GF, never travelled. Just jealous. The area at Puregold looks like it's for the residents rather than tourists. As the infrastructure improves so will the quality of life.
My wife and I have been to General Luna . I am thinking you’re one brave Cat to be wanting to move out there !!! I get the ebbijibbes just watching your videos. Good Job Guy
If you are a foreigner on your own, you will cop skin tax all the time, anywhere in the Phils! Filipino mentality says all foreigners are rich. Never paid it myself as I am always with my Filipina wife and she is as shrewd as they come!
🤔 Brian don't get mad at the trollers. You can rest assured that those negative comments are comming from persons living a god awful life. Stay strong and happy yo
Brian I for one am excited for you and the family. It’s an adventure and if you can’t explore then it get boring. Can’t wait to see more of the journey.
i’ve been living here in the province (labo, ozamis city, mindanao) for a year now. i moved here from NYC. my stress level has gone down so much. i think you are really going to love it there 😀
Awesome video, and you and the family are going to have a great time with your move. I understand 100% how ya feel about the negative people, I have alot of them in my own family and on more then one occasion I told them the same thing. How ever as I got older I learned to just ignore them and stay away from them otherwise they drag you down. It appears they finally got to you enough that you went down to there level and I know your a better man then that. Just hold your head high bro and move forward and do your best to not let the negative people get to ya. Take care philly and I will be waiting for your next video.
Godspeed my man. The lack of gridlock traffic and high decibel noise looks great. We too are at our ropes end with AC. Keep pushing on. Change isn't always easy, especially as we get older. But you aren't one to stand by and watch. It's who we are, it's what we do. To Hell with the beta males. Stay safe
Mind about them bashers they are just jealous they do not understand that Island life.I prefer Island life than life in the concrete jungle, you know what I mean.
Lived in Manila for 5 years now, give me the province lifestyle anyday. It looks so peaceful there, people are friendly and I'd rather walk along a sandy beach than play stinkfoot in Angeles 😂
Hey Brian, you should get a simple multicab pick up truck but get the older style because they are easy to work on and parts are everywhere...living in the province its the perfect vehicle to drive a few miles up the highway to go to the market. When we go to Cagayan de Oro we take the bus or van.
The good thing about the province is cheaper eating like fruit and fish. I found I lost weight in the province just eating fruit and fish - if I only just stayed away from the alcohol!! Down at Bulan by the sea they would have fish markets. Even in sorsogon and in Irosin, there would be markets where fish was cheap. Living in the province can be great for the health if you take full advantages of fresh fruit and fish. I used to love eating bananas. I always came back a few kilos lighter after visiting the province.
The box takes up space that could be filled with another passenger. Also in the province and here in Metro Manila you can get a "Special" trike that doesn't stop for others but you pay more. Here in Metro Manila I can sit side saddle behind the driver and wait until the trike is full for P14 or I can go 'special' by myself with no stops for P52. In the province I used to spend P150 into Carigara 'special' but usually rode crammed in like sardines there and 'special' back home. Now we have a Suzuki multicab which is a workhorse and worth every centavo that we paid for it. Enjoying the new videos Brian and do I see a Suzuki multicab in your future ? Really don't need the Toyota Rush. Oh, and I 'm jealous of your Puregold as the one in Carigara is like a shoe box compared to yours. Enjoy guys.
Hahahaha I love your ending. My sentiments exactly for people like that. Hahaha. So, you didn't get skin taxed, but you did get box taxed. Hahahaha. Man, as long as you, Lot Lot, and the girls are happy, screw the naysayers.
Fun video Brian, the Market was really nice and there is a big selection for you and Lot. You can live very well there and the weather seems to be nice. Enjoy your dinner and see you on the next video!!
Great video as ever Brian And I find your videos great for me Corning across from England UK Love the street life and dig those rural areas I will be across in May once more, this time We are visiting Manila Bacolod Battann and Balasin island. Regards from 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
We visited Camiguin Island in Feb . The first thing my wife and I did was ask other passengers what the price was . Everyone going on that route would say 13 php each. So then we would ask the driver, very few would tell us 13php most would say 25 php each so they would get exactly that . Even the one lady looked at us after and shrugged her shoulders confused at what the driver said . But some actually told the truth and those drivers got a nice tip just for being honest. It’s not the money it’s just the point .
Ignore the nay sayers. Youre gojng tk a much better environment. I would personally feel.sad for those people who travel all the way to the philippines just to focus thrir life around walkng street. They can have that life.
Brian, I've watched your channel from the beginning and admire you living in the P.I. My comments are few but well intended. I'm older than you and have kicked around the P.I. so I have a view point. Realty is such that we all need constructive criticism once in awhile. It can be helpful if you're open minded. Sorry if you see this advice as hateful. Take it easy with your comments before you lump everyone into F.Y. category.
@travellolo I’m having a hard time trying to understand why you can’t grasp what he is saying. To me it’s quite clear that he, like many of us, take offense to being told “FY and GTH”. I don’t know, maybe you are part of the crowd that is used to being told “FY” that you too would not find this offensive.
The nice thing about living in the province is that the cheaper simple living gives you the opportunity to figure out what you can live without and trim cost ,and chances are you will eat more healthy buying from the market of course I know that's what Louisa does anyway. All I can say is enjoy the ride and live the dream where ever you decide to lay your roots down. If your going to stay down there get you another trike and then you don't have to worry about paying for rides😁👍 !!!
In Butuan City standard trike fare is P20pp in a six-seater trike. But I'm a foreigner your size, so I always pay P40. I almost take up the space of two Filipinos, so P40 is fair. And for a 'pakyaw' (special trike) without other passengers, the fare is P120 (6 x 20).
Trikes were the worst in Subic back in the day. If some drunk sailor got in one, they would go to a back street and meet up with their buds and rob you.
Hey Brian and Lot it looks so relaxing there it would fit you and your family good to be there the simpler life i enjoy your videos when i can sit down and watch them . Your right no negativity F them enjoy yourself there positive vibe’s only Brian Watching from San Francisco via Balamban Cebu Philippines
Have found Puregold to be cheaper than Robinson’s and SM. Convenience stores are higher priced, almost like sari sari stores but with a bigger range and air conditioned ( AlfaMart, 7eleven etc). There is a newer chain of convenience type stores branded Dali and they are cheaper than just about anywhere. Only seen them in Cavite (Imus, Dasmarinas, Tanza, Gen Trias etc. Some items are even a little cheaper than some of the markets. Wondering if there are any Dali stores around Sairgao.
Brian I think what you're doing is really cool. I wish I could, but I need to wait a little longer. You're stepping out of your comfort zone and that takes balls and vision. The naysayers are without imagination or courage. I love what you're doing. Anyhow, its your freakin' life, the other guys need to get a life. 👍
I left the city for the country 15 months ago. I wash my clothes the same way you guys do in the Provence. I got 1,200 watts of solar panels. Just enough to run a mini fridge and charge my phone. I don't miss the city at all. I'm in Arizona over by the Petrified Forest. Best decision I've made
My wife and her brother brought an air conditioning unit on the bus and they charged extra. No skin tax , since they’re both native pinoys so it’s what they do when you bring a large item on public transport.
Nice 20P for Trike ✌Hi Lot Siargao seems like a pretty nice place. Pure Gold has a nice bunch of 'Chippies' think you call them Crisps? Nice walk about m8s, I enjoyed That, and yeh, the province trikes are certainly bigger, Not as bright. But its a Province, not a Major Town , I even notice that around here, with club cars and bikes, real small town to a place like Melbourne/Geelong Thanks m8s, doin real well, Lot seems to be enjoying being back, her vids are good. Stay vertical Eh!
When I travel in my town I pay 10 pesos from the market to our stop we have the same type of trikes. Never been charged for boxes. We take bus to the larger city it's 25 pesos. Check if bus schedule have fun on your adventure
The biggest question I have regarding this whole move is whether there is a noticeable difference in the possibility of getting stink foot there compared to Angeles City.
Hey Philly, no one will ever accuse you of straddling the fence. It is always better to be true to yourself. Your cause is noble! You will leave the province much better than you found it!
My trikes can hold 4 deep in the back and 2 up front..thats pushing it though. I highly suggest you look into it as a litle side income. There is enough coming in to pay my nephew, cycle maintenance, registration, and some left over to go in the bank. It helps they both take and pick up kids from school.
Glad to see you up and around take 2 Brian I'm guessing that bout of Shingles was kicking your ass. Looking forward to you and Lot to move to Siargao going to be some great videos be well my friend
On Bantayan island the trikes are way bigger...they hold like 10 people...built around a big dirt bike it looked like. I like this place way better than Angles.
You and Lott are awesome, brother B! Thanks for showing us another town in the P.I.! Take care, and stay safe, over there! Hey, are there any gyms in that town?

Hey Brian, you should get a simple multicab pick up truck but get the older style because they are easy to work on and parts are everywhere...living in the province its the perfect vehicle to drive a few miles up the highway to go to the market. When we go to Cagayan de Oro we take the bus or van.

The good thing about the province is cheaper eating like fruit and fish. I found I lost weight in the province just eating fruit and fish - if I only just stayed away from the alcohol!! Keep up the good work and enjoy the view .
I should be there in a week or so. 😀😀👍
Whatever floats your boat Philly !
My trikes can hold 4 deep in the back and 2 up front..thats pushing it though. I highly suggest you look into it as a litle side income. There is enough coming in to pay my nephew, cycle maintenance, registration, and some left over to go in the bank. It helps they both take and pick up kids from school.
Brian, get a sombrero.

On Bantayan island the trikes are way bigger...they hold like 10 people...built around a big dirt bike it looked like. I like this place way better than Angles.
