Stock automatic transmission? I have a stock AT IS300 and don't know if I can put a turbo on it, it's completely stock haha. Edit: Wait, are those paddle shifters?
how much it cost to manual swap the is300 i was thinking going auto is300 first since its cheaper upfront... are you think i should wait and get a manual?
The factory manual transmission can't hold the power. I'd say manual swap with a stronger transmission or just keep it auto. The automatic was really fun.
@@Mechegoals it's a decent amount of work. None of it is hard, just a lot of little things and then the hardest part is usually removing the automatic transmission.
@@Mechegoals good luck. That'll add up quick. I'd say just stick with the automatic if you plan to add a turbo because the factory w55 won't hold up to more than 300hp for very long. Maybe buy a car that is already swapped. It would be cheaper than paying to have it done. Has to be a r154, cd009, or similar. No W trans.
I'm surprised I didn't see you on my way home on the 215 lol keep up the great vids! I'm excited for your manual swap!
Heck yeah enjoy! Just swapped mine a couple months ago and so happy =]
Goodluck sir ✊🏻 been here for about half a year following your build. Maybe a bit longer

IS350 steering wheel with paddles yes. Auto has the toyomoto rods to shim the accumulators and line pressure turned to high for firm shifts.
How do you drive with manual mode on using stock steering wheel. Both buttons say up
the down is on the back.

@@VegasAlex702 I'm not mechanical inclined to do a transmission swap, definitely have to shop that type of work.
