Well deserved! "Thanks a million" such an Irish thank you.
Everybody says that
A very beautiful thank you speech. Very simple, thanking the person who gave her a break. The person that wrote the character to which she played, her colleagues; the cast and crew, her family for support and her pets. Lovely! She's a sweetheart.
I really felt that when she thanked her pets. If I ever won a major award I'd thank my cats and my dog.
aw she made me cry, she's just so genuine.
Finally. Worthy recognition. The best of the year for the category in my opinion together with De Leon.
Her wonderful honest integrity shone out on screen. Powerful emotive acting with subtleness and nuance without any need for any hint of bold or obvious. The scene with Barry at the lake is rightly lauded as a standout moment in the portrayal of vulnerability.
Was not expecting her to win but I'm very glad she did. A truly fantastic performance ❤️❤️❤️
She is phenomenal in Banshees.
So thrilled so thrilled. Thanks a million for a brilliant performance.
Obsessed with her thanking her horses and dogs. I 100 % would have thanked my dog too in that situation lol
So happy for her, I LOVED her performance and hope she wins the oscar as well!!
What a sweet heart, love her and her acting skills
I enjoyed the film and all the performances but to me, Kerry gave the best performance of them all. She deserves this and an Oscar too!
so quintessential Irish - you can take the Irish person out of Ireland, but you can never taken Ireland out of the DNA of an Irish person - it is our psyche, our tone of voice & turn of phrase, the lyrical phrasing, the down to earth honesty and the importance we place in what some might take as ordinary. Well done Kerry on your well deserved recognition for a sublime performance (alongside equally excellent performances from Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan, Brendan Gleeson - and of course the wild beauty and harshness of the Irish landscape).
Deserved award!!😉 she was very good in the banshees of inisherin!😃
I haven't seen the movie, but I've heard good things about it. My sister-in-law is from Ireland (Belfast) and she'll probably want to check it out.
when the best performance in the category won.
What a charming lass
Oh hell gosh what a beauty. My goodness 😍😍😍
Hope she wins the Oscar. She had the best performance. Her and Stephanie Hsu.
Yes but I think Angela Bassett will win because the Oscars r still rather American and Bassett hasn't won before
As a yank in Oregon I would say the Bafta's get it right over the Oscars. The Academy voters went for the flashy new multiverse story which doesn't appeal to me. Banshees told a deep story of friendships during a war. My fave of the year.
Brillian actress!!
Still my most favorite beautiful woman.
BAFTA is so much more legit than the Oscars. No voting on narrative such as comebacks and life time achievement. They go strictly by performance
smashing lass wonderful in the movie xxxxxxx
loved her in Better caul saul. I did not know she was Irish before seeing her in "The Banshees of Inisherin"
Hello ❤
Me neither!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
❤
When you think she’s worked with big Irish names like Cillian Murphy,Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson also with huge international names like Jet Li,Morgan Freeman,Margot Robbie,Imelda Staunton and Robert Downey Jr which she voiced iron man’s suit AI F.R.I.D.A.Y,she’s truly defines underrated. Been a fan of her since seeing the movie Rat with Imelda Staunton,Danny the dog with jet li and Morgan Freeman lastly Rome as Octavia
Guys she also serves as the Voice of Friday , Tony's new A.I after Jarvis became Vision
Best folk in the world, the Irish
Glad she won this. Deserved the Oscar for it
good
Well Deserved.
🤗☘️💚
I’m so convinced that she deserved the Oscar, that I don’t give a damn that she didn’t get it. Politics in the world of film awards is a cancer that, unfortunately, cannot be cured: it must be accepted.
octavia in rome best!
Oh wow it's Octavia!
And now she’s a scream queen
There’s too many actresses from television who never rose up to high performances. From Lost. Terry O’Quinn should’ve broke out and become an Oscar winning actor. Michael Emerson. Naveen Andrews. From other shows: Sarah Bolger. And Kerry Condon!!
Let’s go.

Bafta>>>Oscars
Its crazy that basset was the frontrunner in this category, wakanda is not a good film. Kerry should be the frontrunner cause she made that amazing movie better paired with good leading actor.
She is so well deserved compared to Jamie Lee Curtis and Angela Bassett
Should have gone to Angela Bassett! She Deserved to win!
Nah! Think award shows should be based on performance & not the colour of ones skin. BUT THAT'S JUST ME!

-> 🤔 Maybe We're The 1st Spiritist* Pop-Metal Or Rock Band In This World...
-> But Don't Pay Much Attention To Our Neanderthal English, Ha Ha Ha ❤
*NOTE:
-> Spiritist is who professes Spiritism, the Gospel continuation
It has began with the books by Allan Kardec and continued in the books by Francisco C. Xavier, the greatest and more important medium/prophet of spirits of the last centuries...
So she mentioned Colin and Brendan but not Barry. Something going on there?
@prestuvius No, she was obviously very nervous & they were just in front of her, Barry was backstage after winning himself. Nothing to it but that
she mentioned the lads; that covers it for all of them and more!
Yummy lady...😍🥰
Should have won The Oscar. I love Jamie Lee Curtis, but what a junk performance. One of the worst in recent memory.
Curtis won because of her woke leanings, Kerry has integrity & doesn't push that crap, that's why she didn't win.
So, she’s not British then…..
Was hoping to see Angela Bassett take it
tough luck buddy, cos Kerry, was amazing in her film, and she'll be robbed if she doesn't win the oscar.
Love Angela Bassett too, but Kerry is a great actress and am happy for her.A good time for women in the industry so let's celebrate them all.Strong roles for females, and Angela Basett is without doubt a pioneer for the movement.
BAFTA 2023 was So White!
All white winners. 😏
And…?
All best performances of the year ... judge actors by the performances not skin color
Yes its great 👍🏻 lol
@@elleryprescott Ke Huy Quan gave the best supporting performance of this year, it was universally agreed (awards, social media, magazines, blogs, youtubers,....) and had nothing to do skin color. To snub him actually brought skin color into the conversation, because how else could he have lost?
@@samuelhn because the BAFTA panel thought otherwise.
Are Irish women discriminated against? What's the difference between Irish and English?
I'm just gonna post as a bookmark...🍿
@GrigVan Pick up a history book so you don't ask such ignorant questions again
👁️👄👁️
What's wrong with being proud of where you come from? She's Irish in an Irish movie only natural she would make reference to it
@@untitled_person1941 relax! He was just asking because he didn’t know. There’s no need to be bitter.
