This is my favorite video on Kuala Lumpur's transit network. Great work!

7:05 - the line used to be Sri Petaling Line but it should already be named as Putra Heights on many online maps.
Also, LRT Kelana Jaya Line is one of the earliest line introduced where it only connect from Kelana Jaya to KL Central before it got extended during the building of the KL Monorail Line.
Ampang-Sri Petaling Line also changed to be two separated line and the Sri Petaling Line were extended to Putra Heights which also changed the line name

Just visited KL a few days ago and rode their trains there. Watching your video made me miss riding their trains hehe (although I mostly only rode their MRT and LRT lines but not the monorail due to time constraints too).

1:00 Slight correction: Line 10 is operated by KTM, but it is not a suburban rail line. It's actually an airport link, connecting KL Sentral to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (Subang) Airport, a mainly domestic airport, at the west of the Klang Valley. It only has 1 stop in between, being Subang Jaya which connects to the LRT Kelana Jaya Line. However, it is true that it is currently suspended (due to low passenger numbers apparently)

The most annoying thing with monorail advocates is that they keep pointing to cities like Chongqing, while ignoring the fact that 90% of cities don't have Chongqing's terrain (And even then, only 2 of 8 CRT lines actually use monorails). Without that one saving grace of handling rough terrain, they simply aren't worth the trouble

it's almost as if different cities can have different solutions to tackling their different geographies, who knew!

Yup, they always saying "monorail is the future" And always argue with the benefits and etc but never built any of it because they Forgetting that monorail also have their own complexity😅 not to mentioned the amount of people that will say monorail is more flexible, well guess what? Most city that have good public transportation rarely choose monorail unless is absolutely necessary, like you said, monorail in the case of Chongqing, is very good at climbing a steep gradient, but not every city have that problem 😅

When you complain about the transfer, try look at jakarta and how horrendous the transfer is at dukuh atas area (speaking as regular user of jakarta public transit)

I think the KL Monorail is more like a people mover. It has low frequency, very short and only serves the innermost areas of KL city center.

Changi airport isn't far from the city but the lack of direct rail link makes it really inconvenient

Docking the Kelana Jaya line for being twice as slow as its Vancouver counterpart; I believe there was an express service that was never able to overtake the train in front of it

Has a variety of rail-based transit options into a single integrated system, which Singapore mostly lacks.
