BMW UK decided we didn't need this version. Maybe on sales they're right, maybe, maybe not, but given the appreciation of manual here in the UK and the twisty roads available....I think they're morons. Yes a Competition version GENERALLY depresses sales of the base model very low here, but if the base model allows for a manual that the Competition can't use (too much torque) that probably adjusts the sales equation to make the base model more successful, in the UK where manuals are relatively popular, surely?
