- Today I’m back in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife to see what’s happening. It’s a bit overcast today but still warm.
I walk from Playa de Martianez to the beach at San Telmo. I then walk past the Bee Hive sports bar and towards the Belle Aire building at the foot of Parque Taoro. Come join me as I walk round this historic old town and great holiday destination.

Dont let the clouds deceive you - a part cloudy day in Puerto is absolutely nothing like a part cloudy day in miserable grey Sheffield/Manchester. I am living proof today after a few hours at hotel pool - I never burn having olive skin - but today, I burnt. Big time. Never been so happy in so much pain 😅😊 People were sunbathing on Playa Castillo yesterday but there was no visable sun. It looked quite funny sunbathing without sunshine - So I joined them - needed a rest on a sunbed €3, and got the tan I came for but the sun never really came out properly 😅 Dont stress about the weather forecasts before coming, that's my advice.
The sun will get you whether you can see it or not.😊

I did today - Thankfully Google Maps took me from the top and went down them on the way back to my Hotel. I'd just visited The Botanical Gardens and Sitreo Litre Orchid Garden - it's a lovely afternoon out as everything seems to work out on foot - that's important to know if your getting on a bit, and the feet need resting regularly. Puerto has an abundance of benches to sit everywhere you go. The Agatha Christie steps has a bench at the side, every few steps.
