    The left wing vs. right wing paradigm has been a massive psy-op on patriots.
    John Adams was correct:
    "There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution."

    It always baffles and troubles me to realize how many professing Christians don't know the word of God and haven't read the Bible. When I was a teen, I just assumed that when you became a Christian, you read and studied the Bible and that's how you come to know God and Jesus but the longer I live, the more people I run into that think they're Christians but they have never even read the New Testament. That just blows my mind. I would argue that reading the Bible is the most important thing that you can do to know God, become a better person and navigate this fallen world. Without that, what do you have? What do you know?
    When I say, "Amen" in church, it's not because the preacher asked me to or because others are saying it. It's because I know that the Bible actually says what he just said. Everyone should be that way. If you don't know the word, then how can you be certain that the pastor isn't just making things up or what's more common unfortunately, just misquoting or taking the scripture out of context?

      Exactly. So many are sitting under heresy, apostasy even, and have no idea that they aren't actually saved.

      Thats what Timothy warned. You should teach, well said.. I also don't trust anyone saying their Christians anymore because it's a trend. There are people acting like demons calling themselves Christians.... That's mocking God and they will be held accountable. The Bible says to test the spirit and I do. And that the devil comes like an angel of light.. even though his garments are filthy. Cannot fake being a believer. The truth will come out, especially to those who walk in discernment and have the holy spirit.

    • @DavidMccallister65
      @DavidMccallister65 Год назад +2

      @@queenk555 Amen. The Spirit bears witness amongst believers so we recognize one another. That reminds me of a scripture that I regularly hear pastors misusing. They warn that the antichrist will be so charming and deceptive that, "even the very elect will be deceived!". They're referencing Matthew 24:24 but they always leave out the rest of that verse that says, "IF it were possible". Which means to me that it's not possible. Because when you truly have the blood of Jesus painted on the door post of your heart, the Holy Spirit will direct you and you will know that the antichrist is not of God.

    I was never told I was special nor given participation trophies. I am an older millennial and remember when RUclips didn’t exist and dial up was fast. Anyway, I don’t think all the spiritual problems is all centered on my generation. I think this stems from a on going issue trickled down from older generations.

      I agree that it trickled down from older generations. However, I do believe that the negative impact of the trickle down manifested more strongly in millennials. My brother and I were born in the mid to late seventies. We often reflect on how our upbringing was very different from our relatives and friends who are only 10-15 years younger. Since you’re an older millennial, your childhood experience is probably more similar to mine.

Thank you very much for this encouraging and insightful conversation as I prepare to go into the church office this morning. It resonates greatly with the conversations I’ve been having with families. The significance of this calling feels overwhelming at times, but I trust that God is with me. Good Ranchers is expensive. Unless you are comparing it to high end meat at Whole Foods and such. But many americans cannot even afford places like Safeway or Fred Meyers or Krogers. Some of us are stuck with Winco or Walmart...the cheapest stuff. That is my only complaint about how this is advertised. Of course if given a choice people would want better than organic and free range and high end grass fed, grain finished meat. No antibiotics or hormones. St Augustine: "Thou (God) has made us for Thyself and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in Thee." Fame, treasure, and pleasure never satifies in the end. Work your life to reach the "top" and you still find emptiness... been there done that. Only after I stopped worshipping myself and started worshipping God did I find rest for my soul. How do I find out what God is like? Learn about Christ - for Christ is God clothed in human flesh. A man born blind cannot apprehend a sunset - he lacks the faculty of sight. In the same way the "natural man" cannot apprehend the supernatural unless God awakens the faculty of spiritual discernment within him. That requires spiritual receptivity in the form of a humble and contrite heart. But He will remain hidden behind a cloud of unknowing to the proud and arrogant heart. But He is not willing that any should perish and will often use pain and suffering to "ready the soil". Been there ... done that. In the last 5 minutes all worldly knowledge is worthless...

    Anyone who comes to Christ needs to understand that it's not about thriving in the sense that we as Americans probably see that term. We are called to die to self, which is painful; we are called to complete the sufferings of Christ, which is painful; we are called to persecution. And yes, to the abundant life simultaneously, which is a life of righteousness, peace, and joy (Romans 14:17) because of an intimate and submitted life to our heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. It's not at all about what makes us happy, but about what pleases our God. And it starts with a foundation of acknowledgment that we are sinners, having transgressed the standards of God, and that the only way to that peace that passes understanding and authentic joy is to accept what Christ has done for us on the cross. I'm concerned when a message or conversation doesn't include the price we are called to pay as Christians.

    As a millennial I fundamentally disagree with how he addressed Mellennial specific pain. Dr. Barna is making the same broad sweeping generalizations that I made while being a Christian. For example, not ascribing value to people simply because millennials don't believe in God? Sure, I USED to believe that, but, there's so much bias in that statement and it's ignoring the litany of variables and nuance that contextualizes how we feel. In other words, it dismisses the actual reasons for our pain and making it seem like the only solution is to believe in God. How about Millennials are depressed and anxious because in the last 4 years we've witnessed the worst in people? Corporations are exploiting us as consumers AND employees demanding we pay MORE while getting paid LESS money. Housing is not only expensive, it's now scarce. Our own government is a joke and doesn't care what we need as a people. Dating apps now just want to keep us on the app and paywalling EVERYTHING, including read notifications. Imagine paying so you can see you've been left on read....the list goes on. We've been taught to be selfless, but not in a balanced way, so we gave until we can't give anymore, and when trying to meet our own needs, we're called selfish. The way we feel has nothing to do with the belief in God and everything to do with our the world has treated us. This includes hyper conservative "Christians".

      This channel is very niche and is clearly gaslit to cherry pick a certain narrative. The views are incredibly low and that gives a wider picture of why that is. This is the hallmark channel type content geared for a very specific enclave of people who believe in the unseen, the unproven and hide behind the Bible to further their narrative. That's their choice. But there is a reason there are no data introduced, no studies, no clinical research, nothing is evidence based. It's ALL opinion.
      This is a Christian channel and will most definitely have those broad sweeping generalized (bigoted) views. I'm a Millennial. I want to Catholic school. I can name all the beatitudes, know the theological works of Aquinas, Moore, Augustine, very important theological scholars in Catholic and Protestant rhetoric and doctrine. However; as an adult I am an atheist.
      These people are free to say whatever they like under the law and YT terms but they are far removed from intelligent, evidenced based rhetoric, the scientific method, and scholarly literature in the fields of psychology and science and even religion for that matter.

Maybe there weren't as many boomers making $300K in tech jobs fair, but in the middle-areas my dad was making as much as I am at 30, but that was 1 year out of college in 1984, he proceeded to by a 4 bedroom home on 1 acre for $185K (yes at a 12% interest rate but that is WAY BETTER than $600K 2 bedroom home on 0.1 acres at 4% IR) shockingly, even though his 1st home was 4x his annual income... they never paid it off because boomers love debt. Millenials are paying for boomers bad health and poor financial decisions now. But yeah stop sending your kids to out of state schools, grow where you are planted, have pride in your hometown.
