I have been playing with the Wilson Ultra Pro (H19 mold) 16x19. Low RA, but feels harsh due to no dampening material. Had to use gut/poly hybrid to soften it up. Now it hits like a softer Pro Staff, with a bit more spin and pop. I really wanna hit the H22 to compare.
Most of the pros use rackets with higher swingweights than the retail versions of the frames that are made available to the public with added stiffness, to increase the power. The pro stock H22 18x20 flexes more in the shaft to increase pocketing ability and control, what SW's did you measure with the pro stocks?
Head protectors add an insane amount of SW, like 20 points or so.. would be cool if you could just place a ton of lead on your retail blade at 12, and see if they become similar
@@eincan1313 used Head once and measured it on an RDC.. I remember the strip being like 7g or so, and it’s at the top part of the hoop.. for reference you only need 2g of lead at 12 to raise 7 points of SW.
@@brunis_m Not sure what kind of tape you are using, but I literally just re-measured everything. A 13.5” strip of Head brand protection tape weighs 2.75 grams without the paper backing. This is not all at 12 as is spreads the entire bumper so like 10 to 2. My strung swing weight on my Extreme Tour is 332.with the tape, when removed it is 325 or 7 pts.
The H22 feels a lot more sluggish to swing than its weight and SW state. I think it’s something with the beam shape. Definitely a very hard racket to play with even with strung SW below 330, which is what mine used to be.
Really looking forward to see the comparison between H22 and H19, which I think it's the ultra pro? Already see the preview video of the ultra pro v4 on TW
Could you compare Blade Pro 16x19 with Pro Staff 97 V14? I heard Blade Pro's swing weight is quite substantial but so is Pro Staff 97. Does Blade Pro have similar plow through with more maneuverable static weight? I currently have Pro Staff 97 V14 but never tried Blade Pro. Your opinion would be much appreciated! :)
Both feels heavy and not maneuverable to me due to high SW, but Tfight 305 is easier to play with, more forgiving, and easier access to power. Plow at full swing probably the same. Tfight 305 feels more muted, and I think it’s a bit more stable. Spin on both rackets are good.
@@tantennis just switched to tfight 305 and somehow all my shots were powerful and serve was really good! do you have any recommendations for rackets that play similarly to the tfight? or should i switch to the 18x20 h22?
Hi Liam, a fan here. Really love watching court level practice session! From what I feel on the court, the box beam on the H22 is more connected to the ball and has way better feel, more pocketing stringbed as well. The closest example would be PS97 (also box beam but stiffer) vs Blade 98 (D beam). Anyway, I think the D beam could be more aerodynamic and cut through the air a bit faster than box beam.
It’s the same mold, but Blade Pro generally has higher stiffness for more power. I think go for Blade Pro is safer because H22 has lots of different specs and layups.
This guys deserves another 20-30k subscribers. Lots of interesting racquet review videos including rare racquets like these.
Thanks!
The blade pro H22s are special. I played a softer h22 for years before getting the blade pro. Very very stable racquet

I use the Head protection tape on all my frames covering the entire bumper guard (13.5” strip). It adds 7 pts to swingweight. Where do you get 20?

@@eincan1313 Interesting, maybe we get a different tape here.. I do remember it being very very thick.

Yea that's exactly what I feel. It's really hard to swing.
Yes, I had some pro stock H22s with low specs (from 326 to 330 SW) and they really are much slower than Blades in the same SW.

Should get your hands on the Pro Labs Blade 16x19 to try and compare
I hope
What's the difference between h22 and wilson blade pro v8 18x20? And which ones us better for club player?

Blade 98 18x20 v8 is excellent imho
At 3:04 I actually want to say the racket is way more difficult to play with, not powerful.
Hi, I'm from Singapore and interested in the H22. Could you link me up with your friend Brandon? Or does he have a site? Thanks!
Hi, can you DM me on instagram: tan_tennis
