This was the song that introduced me to Stray Kids. Obsessed doesn't even start to describe how I am with their music. Dive deeper. You won't regret it.
@@fiveminuteforce i plan on it. Now I finally understand what "kpop" is now a genre but the industry. Iv never been a fan of "pop" but learning to kpop involves a whole bunch of different genres in their music, I do plan on exploring more kpop bands/groups.
As a metalhead I can say the only kpop group I like is Stray Kids. They give me so much good energy, also they are super sweet and kind people, you should definitely check out Megaverse, Chk Chk Boom, Gods Menu and Thunderous. And if you like rap (like I do) you should listen to Maze of memories, Heyday, 3racha and The tortoise and the hare, those are not that popular as the ones I mentioned previously but are super rap heavy.
I am 56yo. STRAY KIDS are my ultimate group but through them i have now discovered well over 100 groups, soloists, bands, rappers as well as Thai and Japanese artists. My liked playlist is nearly 2000 strong and only less than 200 is Western music. I'm discovering new music on the daily. I dislike rap, but i LOVE Korean RAP. It tickles something in my brain. K-pop is all inclusive. It is competitive but not at the expense of others. All artists support each other. Many do covers of others songs. There is such a thing as dance challenges. When an artist releases a new song other artists (not related to them and with different companies) will do the dance challenge with them. They are loved by all ages, all nationalities, all identifiable genders because of WHO they are and their mindsets. They promote love, not hate. They interact with fans non stop. They are on variety shows. They do lives. They make themselves totally available to the fans and as a result we feel closer to them. No wonder teenage girls love them ❤
Stray Kids has two Australian members- Bang Chan (Chris) the leader and Felix who has the deep voice. I live in Australia and Stray Kids are very popular here as far as Kpop goes. They are playing next month here and have almost sold out two stadiums that hold 50,000 people and our population isnt very big either.
This is actually kpop. Kpop isn't pop music, it's a music industry! They often mix many different sounds. Stray kids are known for their own genre Mala Taste and they often combine rap, pop, edm, dance and rock elements. They have over 40 genres of music in their discography. But they're very much kpop. Kpop is actually loved by many people all over the world, stray kids is currently after blackpink and BTS the 3rd most popular kpop group in the world. While people always associate kpop with teenage girls that is very far from true, I barely know any teenagers who are into kpop, I do know hella many adults ages 18-80 who are into kpop :) You should check out more stray kids if you liked this! Btw, Korean rap goes HARD. And stray kids have very good rappers. Honestly if you like this, you'll probably like kpop. While stray kids very much have their own sound, there are many pretty hard and catchy songs with great beats in kpop. Oh and I see on your channel that you like rock/metal music. Rock/metal lovers often like BTS and Stray Kids the most. Rock/metal to kpop really goes through those two groups a LOT. They have a significant fanbase that loves rock/metal music. This music spreads so much positivity and these guys are really great people.
@@EmmieUniverse ill have to checkout BTS then. Its the only Korean group iv heard of before and only heard about them from younger female teens so I got the impression that it might be music that appeals more towards the female audience. Im definitely ignorant to Korean music so I'm glad I decided to expand and get more familiar with that sound. Pop in general i feel is surface level in the States but if this is considered pop, then your pop is much different than what I know and I find myself really enjoying it. Kpop seems to throw every genre together and you never know what you'll get which makes for a unique experience so far. I love this band and look forward to returning to them and exploring more similar sounding bands
@@EmmieUniverse rereading this again but can you help me understand when you say it's not a genre but an industry? I want to understand it from another viewpoint rather than my own.
@@TwistedGunZ hi! So you know how pop music in our part of the world is really poppy? And rock is rock, hiphop is hiphop etc? Those are music genres. Kpop is however not pop music as we know it. It is actually just the name for the idol music industry in Korea. When we talk about kpop we don't talk about a music genre. We just talk about music made by artists that are a part of that music industry. The industry is one where young teenagers join a kpop entertainment company and are trained to be an idol. Then after training for years in dance, rap, singing and media, the companies put together groups and produce music for them. Usually kpop is a combination of catchy choruses, rap and choreography. It also entails the fandoms and engagement with fans. There's a lot of variety in groups and the kind of music they put out. Xdinary heroes for example is also under a kpop company and can be considered kpop. I saw you listened to them before. One thing I love about kpop is the focus on the fans. Some of these groups are pretty cool. I'm a big fan of stray kids, who are a kpop group under Jyp entertainment, one of the biggest kpop companies. Stray kids produces their own music and they're freaking hilarious and talented guys. Bang Chan (the leader) actually picked out the members himself, which is very rare in kpop. A lot of people think kpop is bubblegum pop music but it's so far from reality as you can see by this song, Lalalala by Stray Kids. Stray Kids is really strong in rap and music production. They also write a lot about mental health etc. You've probably known about BTS at some point as they are the biggest group in the world and you probably know pop music like Dynamite or Butter by them, but those are pretty far from their usual sound. They have pretty hard hitting hiphop songs, r&b, rock sounds etc and write a lot about mental health, societal expectations, self love etc. There's a reason these groups have so many fans, they're very inspirational and hard working people. Sorry for another long comment lmao, I'm passionate about kpop.
@@EmmieUniverse This answers so many questions. I genuinely thought we were talking about the genre when mentioning pop but I understand now when you mentioned idol. When I first got into Japanese metal, there was the occasional mention of idol groups. Babymetal which was the start of what got me into Japanese music and possibly the start of the channel could be considered as such. I suppose idol groups isn't something I necessarily see when discovering new music. Its more to do with weather the music vibes for me. Though it does make sense now because listening to this song with rap, rock, edm elements and more, I couldn't wrap my head around what makes this "pop" over say rock and such but now you have fixed my confusion entirely. That 180 degree changed my worldview on what kpop is now. Its definitely always a bit worrisome when going into another language or genre of music that I'm unfamiliar with because I am ignorant to what it necessarily is so when I speak on it, its from a viewpoint im familiar with which isn't necessarily correct. Though just like with Japanese music, iv explored a bit of thai and now getting into kpop, its a learning process and that makes so much more sense now. I suppose I should give BTS a listen now since I realize "pop" isn't what I think it is and if its anything similar to this, I can see myself enjoying it. Thank you for clearing up that confusion. What more thing, what necessarily is "bubblegum pop"?
@@TwistedGunZ BTS is pretty different from stray kids aswell, but you should try them out in the future. I guess you could appreciate fake love or mic drop or ON from BTS, all very different sounds btw haha. And definitely check out more stray kids! Yeah I've watched some of your Thai reactions after watching this stray kids reaction, I'm personally a big fan of Jeff Satur. I also really like One OK Rock so I've been watching those here aswell! I'm a huge rock fan lmao. Bubblegum pop is an American pop music style that's very upbeat and catchy and especially meant for children and young adolescents. It's probably the poppiest pop music shit out there. Super catchy, absolutely no substance, very sweet shit. It can be fun at times lmao. It's usually what people think kpop is like.
Stray Kids consists of 8 incredibly talented men. They range in age from 23-26 (the oldest/leader will turn 27 later this year). They can all sing, dance, and rap -although they each have their 'specialty'. The members write 99% of their own songs and a subgroup of three members (named 3RACHA) produce ALL their music. They won the MTV VMA Best KPOP award last year for their song/video called 'S Class' and are nominated again this year for this song 'LALALALA'. The awards show is tomorrow night and their fandom, called STAY, are hoping for another win !
Thanks for reacting to them💜 welcome to stayville and the skz rabbit hole, the fandom name is stay btw also you really need to check the stray kids 2024 long guide by chandora's world, yes is long but you can do parts if that's more easy for u, believe me stays would love to see u reacting to this guide cause we love seeing new people learning about them, and this guide is the best for you to know them so is a MUST to do next
You once said you were looking for positive music. I think you just found it, or at least that you found a great source of positive energy. If the music is good, it will always lift you up regardless of whether you listen to metal or other genres of music. Because emotions are always the most important thing, and this band knows how to evoke them. You should also appreciate the fact that they create their own music and perform it with true passion.
Thanks for giving our boys a chance. Stray Kids have an extensive, loyal, and very dedicated fanbase (STAYS) outside of Korea. With their motto being "Stray Kids everywhere all around the world, you make Stray Kids stay". We love these incredibly talented men 🥰. A bit of background: Stray Kids are a 4th gen South Korean group consisting of 8 very talented men (they debuted in 2018 as a 9 man group, but one member left in late 2019, so some of their earlier videos will have the extra person in them). They have no set roles and each member can sing, dance and rap. They mix a lot of different genres in their music and are entirely self produced (writing, composing, arranging, producing their own music). The members are Bang Chan (the leader), Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. You really can’t go wrong with any of their music, but some of their most iconic ones that I would recommend starting with are: Rap Heavy Songs: 3racha (by 3racha - Bang Chan, Changbin, Han) HeyDay (by 3racha) Tortoise and the Hare Megaverse Topline Mountains Other Iconic songs: “Stray Kids” JJam Chk Chk Boom S-Class God’s Menu Back Door Thunderous Easy Hall of Fame District 9 (Debut) Hellevator (Pre-Debut) Looking forward to more Stray Kids reactions ☺
Welcome they cover over 40 genres of music including their own, amazing people with so much talent and personality. You can’t go pst them and with about 19 albums to get into you will find so much to enjoy.
These guys are amazing. Their music is so diverse. Han and Changbin, in particular, are some of the best rappers you will ever hear. All of the members are incredibly talented; every one of them can rap, dance, and sing incredibly well!
ive seen other people say this, but this is just straight up kpop, stray kids is one of the biggest groups out there right now! the thing about kpop is its an industry, not a genre, kpop is everything from bubble pop to hard hitting edm and slow rock ballads and so much more. i definitely know that a large part of the sphere is made out of young women (as i fall into that demographic) but saying its because we find “the guys cute” is a little misogynistic and presumptive imo. also, almost a majority of the most popular kpop groups out there right now are girl groups. hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of kpop fans are men, non-binary or any other gender/identity. kpop fans are very diverse, and a larger portion of us than you think are older! ive seen fans from 12-80 throughout my years of being a fan. while visual elements, as you see in the high budget music videos and high beauty standards, are very important in kpop almost every single one of us is in it for the music. be it because it touches our hearts, because its catchy, because it gives us confidence, whatever. kpop is for everyone, no matter what you identify as. i promise you there is something for everyone in kpop, whether you’re into rock or pop or rnb or whatever. thats the greatest thing about it!
@@loadev To clarify what I meant when mentioning how I believed "girls find them cute" is because while I am ignorant to the genre, the limited exposure I had of it and my more American view of "pop" i went into this thinking that it would be similar to say, Justin Bieber with the sound and the appeal to the younger female audience. I think with the music I grew up with, the sound of "pop" i feel is a pretty rigid one. When listening to this, I notice they have rap, rock, edm and more sounds/elements. For the uninitiated, this is confusing to me. That comment wasn't meant in a negative way and I understand how it could be taken that way but I do hope that with this reaction and my next reaction to another kpop band coming here soon, it kinda shows in real-time how the view i had going into this, was the wrong one and that as I progress, I become more educated in the genre and what it has to offer. Hopefully as I keep coming back to this genre, I'll learn more about what "bubble pop" is and becoming more familiar with what korea has to offer and learn to see it more from their worldview of music and not so much of the one I grew to know. If there's one thing to take from this comment though, is to be more familiar with what I say and how others could take it. It wasn't meant in a mean way but it does show my ignorance and I have no problem admitting when I am wrong.
@@TwistedGunZ its completely okay, i doubted your comment was meant as mean spirited and simply was a result of unfamiliarity with the area. i appreciate you taking my comment so seriously, and im sure your view of both korean and western pop can expand as you progress! im looking forward to seeing you explore the world of kpop, as it is one that has captivated me for many years. bubble pop is what many consider a “stereotypical kpop sound”, bright, cutesy, and well, poppy. while its definitely not for everyone ive learned to appreciate it along with all the other sides of kpop. while it used to be more common you still see it sometimes, but not really in mainstream kpop from my experience. i admire your ability to admit your wrongs and learn from them, its easy to become defensive when faced with criticism but im very thankful you took my thoughts into consideration!
@@loadev Talking to another commenter, I definitely understand now when people mention it being an industry and not a genre. I definitely thought kpop was just the pop music i was familiar with, Just in Korean but now I understand its not limited in that nature. It's always a bit rocky when reacting to another language/genre/country of music im not familiar with because I can only speak on them from a worldview I am familiar with which definitely doesn't always align with reality. That is why I thought kpop was something similar to Justin Bieber or Taylor swift but with rap, rock, edm and everything else thrown in, I can see why it appeals to so many and how there's something for everyone. I'll definitely check more out and will 100% return to this band. I suppose I should checkout BTS. Do you have other recommendations for artists to checkout? Ah gotcha. Well im a fan of babymetal which some might consider cutesy and kawaiiかわいい so who knows, maybe ill find a song out there for me 😂
@@TwistedGunZ yeah, its very commonly misunderstood as a genre so its fully understandable you thought so, i did as well. what we refer to as “kpop music” is usually referred to as “idol music” or something similar in korea, which is more true to its actual nature, as the “idol system” with its surrounding culture and focus on dance and performance is more close to the true identity of kpop. its entirely natural and inevitable to draw from our lived experiences when encountering new phenomena and cultures, so dont worry. its a novel concept for those unaware, an industry “disguised” as a genre that actually encompasses all kinds of sounds and styles. absolutely, stray kids are incredible and ive been a big fan for years, their music is basically 100% self produced so it gives them a great cohesive sound in my opinion. bts are by leaps and bounds the most popular kpop group, and while im not personally a big fan of their recent music they are worth checking out just because they play a such big part in the global reach kpop has now. oh, how difficult, i passively keep up with a lot of groups without “stanning” them (the kpop term for being a devoted fan, keeping up with all the releases, engaging in the community, voting and streaming etc).. ill try to give some favorites. im a big fan of the group ateez personally, aespa has had some great and very successful hits lately, seventeen are probably the second biggest boy group out there behind bts, p1harmony is massively underrated, billlie has some of the most unique music ever.. its so hard to pick. there are hundreds of groups out there! for the hell of it, some more i enjoy are enhypen, riize, everglow, artms, nmixx, zerobaseone and badvillain (rap heavy btw!). i adore xdinary heroes too, but you checked them out already so if your goal is broadening your horizons there you go. hey, im a big fan of babymetal too! maybe you could find something to enjoy in bubble pop then!
@@loadev once idol was mentioned, I totally understood. I follow some Japanese artists and read what fans think in groups etc when talking about artists and its surprisingly rare the term idol is brought up so maybe that's why "industry" was a bit foreign of a concept though I can see the parallels in Japanese music also. Well this is a spoiler but that Ateez group is the other Korean group i reacted to. I do think I mention in that video how stray kids and ateez and destroying my worldview of what I thought the "genre" was about lol. I did their latest but I see myself wanting to return also. Id say I like stray kids more between the two but im genuinely so confused on what im experiencing between the two that I wanna figure it out 😂. Im like "between stray kids and this, wtf is korea doing with their music" because its so different and can't be put into a box like other music. Its fun and ill be returning periodically for sure. I generally stick to Asian countries. Japanese, Korean, and Thai music mostly.
LALALALA It is the story of the battle of emotions within the young boys as they face their stage fright and they prepare to perform in front of their audience. These emotions are represented by not only the Chinese characters for Anger, Sorrow, Joy and Pleasure but also by the different sets. The clowns in purple are representative of the Batman movie, The Dark Knight. Then we have Pirates of the Caribbean and Mad Max. Once an emotion is overcome the Character disappears as does the set. Eg when they overcame their Anger, the character dissolved and the bank robbery set blew up in an explosion. When Sorrow disappeared, the Character vanished and the huge foot squashed it all. So on until PLEASURE is the only emotion left. The Stage Fright is gone and the young boys get to take pleasure in performing for their audience. The moral of the story, whatever you do, don't let Anger, Sorrow or other negative emotions stop you from finding the pleasure in life. A wise man once said (Bang Chans father) whatever you choose to do in life, JUST ENJOY
Stray kids are actually the 4th gen leaders of k-pop and they have created their own genre cakes mala taste. Many different types of genres in their music. Also xdinary heros did a cover of their pre-debut song hellevator in tribute to them because they are their seniors in JYP and do work pretty closely with them. Skz (stray kids) are self-produced aside from one song that JYP himself did with them. They do take outside help during production at times and do have their preferred people they like to work with as they are making their music like versachoi is one they have in the studio with them quite a bit. They have songs that are more rap heavy, songs that are vocal focused, and even songs that are dance focused. God's menu, topline, JJam, and megavers are some of their newer more popular songs with a lot more rap. Cover me and neverending story, taste (dance focused song as well) are popular vocal heavy songs. Easy, miroh, victory song give more of an anthem EDM kind of vibe. Red lights is a special kind of song that was a bit experimental and done by 2 of the members but it is a favorite. I find I enjoy a lot of their older stuff, not that I don't love their new stuff but their older songs will be some of my go to songs and on the top of playlists. Chk chk boom is their newest main track on their new album and I love it.
Most of Stray Kids videos you have to watch several times to catch everything because they put so much into them. Ateez is another good group to watch also!
❤loved your reaction. K-Pop is more of a culture than a genre. There are a ton of great groups with good music, but stray kids are special. They are completely self produced. They have a magical way of blending multiple genres of music in one song, and have been credited with creating a whole new genre called “Mala taste”, because of their unique sound. I encourage you to go down the rabbit hole and listen to more straykids.
Stray Kids are amazing, self-produced (not common in Kpop), amazing songwriters, great singers rappers and dancers. Truly talented group. I recommend CkCk Boom next.
if you're looking for more stray kids that should be right up your alley (if you want rap) look up the subunit stuff by 3Racha (the production side of stray kids, who are self produced) We Go, HeyDay, 3Racha (also a song name) They are in fact HUGE internationally, they just headlined Lollapalooza in Chicago this year.
Have a look at songs from them like, Topline, The sound, Chk Chk Boom, S-class, Top, Gods Menu. There is a lot of good music. Stray Kids is really popular international, they headlined Lalapalooza Paris and Chicago. They sell out stadiums across the world. You can also check out 'Megaverse'. There are many really big reactors on RUclips who inly focus on K-pop. Another group you might like is Ateez.
@@cariendaffue4235 i didn't know they were so big even headlining in the states. That group ateez I have reacted to also which will be uploaded at some point. I want to explore more of their music also. The music scene isn't what I expected going into it but im glad to be wrong lol
I get you, this song was my first meeting SKZ and whole k-pop song as well, and they had me in first 30 seconds :D They are not typical k-pop, sadly,. About comments - SKZ has huge international fandom, but i think korean fans write itheir in english as well, for our sake.
As a 55 year old punk rocker who saw Metallica open for Motörhead I really love Stray Kids. I also recommend Mirroh and Thunderous. My top favorite is BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan). I’ve been BTS ARMY since 2018 because they write, compose and produce in a wide variety of genres. Their harder songs are Fire, Dope, Dionysus, Not Today…really too many to mention here except ON; Kinetic Manifesto and Mic Drop (Steve Aioki remix)). Mm second favorite is Ateez with The Real, Cyberpunk, Turbulence and Firework. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you so much for you reaction on Stray Kids [SKZ]. I am always happy to watch 1st timers reviewing upcoming K-pop musicians & SKZ are one of the best, currently. Its easy for us in the US to dismiss K-pop & think it is just for Korean's & young girls but its really global. Stray Kids are HUGE & are breaking all kinds of barriers. They are an easy group to get into for English speakers due to how many members are fluent in English. 1:14 Chan and 1:02 Felix are Aussie ~ Chan was born in Korea but moved to Australia very young and Felix was born and raised there. STAY do have a tendency to over-share [its a real disease]😆 lol... I found this 'brief' intro comments from my Stayville post-it library with help from Stay@JAMoore-zz3ki : = Leader 2:30 Bang Chan was an idol trainee at Company of JYPe for several years, starting at age 13. While waiting to debut with a group, he formed a rap group called '3Racha' with two other trainees, 0:52 Changbin & 3:04 Han. They wrote & produced their own music. JYP gave Bang Chan the highly unusual opportunity to help develop his own idol group [which they did through a reality show, but Bang Chan had WAYYYY more say in picking the his members & it was more like for being able to debut as a team], & when Stray Kids was formed, 3Racha was absorbed into that group as the production sub-unit. = 3Racha still performs on occasion. Several of their songs / videos are posted on RUclips. They write / produce [& often compose/arrange the beats] of the vast majority [98%] of the music for Stray Kids. Over the years the other members have also gotten involved in writing and production. = DanceRacha - main dance sub-unit [1:05 Hyunjin, 1:55 Felix [the deep-voiced guy], and 1:43 Lee Know]. But all 8 members dance very well. = VocalRacha - main vocal sub-unit [2:08 Seungmin & 2:16 I.N]. But again, all 8 members have great singing voices and they switch around on lead vocals, depending on the song. ---------------------------------- = Stray Kids debuted in 2018. They started with 9 (in their early videos, you'll see 9 people performing) but Woojin left in Oct 2019. Stray Kids have been an 8-member group ever since. = The fandom is called STAY. Their Intro MVs, trailers, teasers, performance MVs, dance practices, behind the scenes MVs, etc. are awesome and top tier. Their directors, editors, stylists, chorographers, staffers are the best in the business and are top notch. ---------------------------------- Concerts: = Main rappers - Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix - but unlike many K-pop groups, all 8 members can and have rapped, depending on the song. = Main vocalists - Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, I.N ---------------------------------- = Languages: Bang Chan (the leader of the group) and Felix (deep-voiced guy) are both Korean-Australian, so English is their first language. The other 6 members speak English with varying degrees of fluency. - All 8 members are fluent in Korean and can also sing / rap in Japanese. They often mix Korean/English and Japanese/English in their songs and have fully English songs. ---------------------------------- = Not all of their music is super hard all the time. - Stray Kids also write/sing beautiful ballads & have also written a few songs for K-drama, anime & video game soundtracks. They also collab with/produce for other idol groups & solo artists from Korea, Japan, China, Thailand & the U.S. They just recently release an original sound track [OST] for the soundtrack of the 2024 Marvel movie Deadpool x Wolverine called 'Slash'. Chan and Ryan Reynolds are long-time Intranet buddies [Ryan is a big STAY]. He & Hugh Jackman were even featured in the newest track called 'Chk Chk Boom' [an outstanding fun MV]. ---------------------------------- A little more info about Stray Kids: - They are a multi-award winning and record-setting (as far as pre-release / post-release album sales) group who perform in countries [England & Italy in early July] around the world in completely filled stadiums that hold upwards of 50K / 60K people, as well as performing incredible, bring-down-the-roof performances at various awards shows. They just headlined in Lollapalooza Chicago last Aug 2nd. - They have been featured in many publications, among them Rolling Stone magazine, Billboard magazine, The New York Times, & Time magazine [& many others]. A 2020 article in Time Magazine said they had one of the top 10 songs of the entire year with Back Door. They were the only K-pop group on the list. - They have won rookie / male group / album / dance performance / single song / global artist and producer awards at the MTV 2023 VMAs, the Billboard Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the IHeartRadio Awards and many awards shows throughout Asia. - They received a special award from the Prime Minister of South Korea. - They have appeared on American shows, such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Entertainment Tonight, LIVE with Kelly and Ryan, Good Day New York, Good Morning America, Kelly Clarkston show and more. - They consistently are among the top groups to be played on Spotify and other streaming music platforms. - Their songs have been on Billboard's Hot 100 and Global 200 charts, and four (4) of their albums have been no. 1 on Billboard's top 200 album chart. - In 2024, among many other awards and honors, Stray Kids were the only K-pop group to make the Gold House A100 list of "Asian-Pacific Most Impactful Leaders." It recognizes the “100 Asian Pacific leaders who have most significantly impacted American culture and society in the last year.” - Also in 2024, Stray Kids were the first full K-pop group to be invited to the Met Gala in New York as guests of clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger (who also custom-designed their outfits for the Gala). Other K-pop artists have been invited to the Met Gala individually, but not as a full group. ....just to give you an slight idea how popular they are [ohh... that's just me flexing a bit.. sorry]. I do hope you check them out further. Looking forward to your next visit to Stayville.. 🖖🏽
They're a bit of an anomaly in the kpop industry right now. They produce/compose all their songs themselves, which is a big feat within the industry. As every korean group has to extensively train in so many other areas like dancing, performing, and singing, groups often leave the production/composing side to other professionals and just sing on tracks they get offered. But Stray Kids are both the performers AND the producers of all their songs. Their leader is the main producer, along with two others. They truly do it all
And whereas most groups are formed by casting/auditions and being chosen by the company, the leader of Stray Kids was given the chance to hand pick the members himself
They are one of the few termed "Self-made groups". BTS is the same in this regard, hence their huge popularity and impact on the industry. Stray Kids are newer than BTS, and are in the "4th generation" of kpop groups, whereas BTS is "3rd generation" and are considered legends.
So who do you all think I should have next on my channel when it comes to kpop or other Korean artists?
STRAY KIDS 🥳

I'm 52 and Stray Kids are my absolute favorite. They are huge in the US.
And if you like rap (like I do) you should listen to Maze of memories, Heyday, 3racha and The tortoise and the hare, those are not that popular as the ones I mentioned previously but are super rap heavy.
...and Muddy Water!
No wonder teenage girls love them ❤
God's Menu, Top line, Megaverse, and Easy are 🔥
Stray Kids has two Australian members- Bang Chan (Chris) the leader and Felix who has the deep voice.
While people always associate kpop with teenage girls that is very far from true, I barely know any teenagers who are into kpop, I do know hella many adults ages 18-80 who are into kpop :)
You should check out more stray kids if you liked this!
A bit of background:
Stray Kids are a 4th gen South Korean group consisting of 8 very talented men (they debuted in 2018 as a 9 man group, but one member left in late 2019, so some of their earlier videos will have the extra person in them).
You really can’t go wrong with any of their music, but some of their most iconic ones that I would recommend starting with are:
Rap Heavy Songs:
3racha (by 3racha - Bang Chan, Changbin, Han)
HeyDay (by 3racha)
Tortoise and the Hare
Megaverse
Topline
Mountains
Other Iconic songs:
“Stray Kids”
JJam
Chk Chk Boom
S-Class
God’s Menu
Back Door
Thunderous
Easy
Hall of Fame
District 9 (Debut)
Hellevator (Pre-Debut)
Looking forward to more Stray Kids reactions ☺
Welcome they cover over 40 genres of music including their own, amazing people with so much talent and personality. You can’t go pst them and with about 19 albums to get into you will find so much to enjoy.
Stray Kids would satisfy your taste! Looking forward on future reactions on this group!
LALALALA
It is the story of the battle of emotions within the young boys as they face their stage fright and they prepare to perform in front of their audience.
Oh, just another note, they were also on the Deadpool and Wolverine soundtrack with their song Slash. You might like that as well.
You are so going to enjoy exploring Stray Kids, I promise!!!!
if you're looking for more stray kids that should be right up your alley (if you want rap) look up the subunit stuff by 3Racha (the production side of stray kids, who are self produced) We Go, HeyDay, 3Racha (also a song name) They are in fact HUGE internationally, they just headlined Lollapalooza in Chicago this year.
here for more stray kids :D
@@TwistedGunZ ateez is so gooood
I get you, this song was my first meeting SKZ and whole k-pop song as well, and they had me in first 30 seconds :D They are not typical k-pop, sadly,. About comments - SKZ has huge international fandom, but i think korean fans write itheir in english as well, for our sake.
Straykids are the one n only kpop group's music i like n listen to,they r special,lemme do u a favour check out more of their music,ther r the best❤
I subscribed for more Stray Kids!
Check out Gods Menu!
Chk Chk Boom by Stray Kids, pleeease. but LOOK FOR THE M/V (with the guy in the superhero suit🤭) I bet you'll be surprised
Listen to Thunderous, S-Class, Megaverse, Maniac by them.
They debuted in 2018
They are ages 23 - 26
Fandom name is Stay
#2 Best Selling Artist in U.S 2023
#3 Globally Best Selling 2023
They are unique for several reasons...
First, the leader Bang Chan was allowed by JYP to hand pick all of the members himself. They were not placed together in a traditional way, by the company.
Second all of them are all arounders. They can all sing, rap, dance, produce and write.
Third, they have written and produced about 99% of their music.
Numbers of songs each member has copyrighted according to Korean Music Association (KOMCA) so far...
Bang Chan 193 (#3 in KPop)
Changbin 163
Han 161
Hyunjin 27
Felix 23
I.N 21
Seungmin 20
Lee Know 17
While they can all do everything they do have 3 different subunits...
3Racha... Bang Chan, Chang Bin and Han which are the main producers and lyricists. They are always credited as 3Racha.
3Racha Achievements
- Producers of Consecutive Five Time Billboard 200 #1 album debuts - only group in history
- Hot 100 Hitmakers
- 3rd, 11th, 12th Most Credited Idols on KOMCA
- Produced Albums Sold Over 20 Million Copies
- Japan Hot 100 Hitmakers
- 100+ Weeks on Hot 100 Lyricists
- 100+ Weeks On Hot 100 Composers
- 2023 Asia Artist Awards Best Creator
- Makers of Time Magazines 2020 #8 Best Song (their song Backdoor)
Danceracha... Lee Know (in charge of leading dance practices), Felix and Hyunjin. They also contribute to the choreography.
Vocalracha... Seungmin and I.N
While the songs are hype they always have significant meaning to them. Their lyricism is always insane.
Since they are so experimental their sound has its own genre and they have a very diverse discography.
Example... Gods Menu, Back Door and Case 143 all completely different sounds.
this is acttualy k-pop some k-pop music has rap in it it is 100 precent k-pop and you should check out gods menu that is another stray kids song that has alot of rap in it but it is still k-pop

Kpop is an industry not a genre. (edit: I see from the comments you are aware of that now)
Stray kids like to play around with music they make, already a few comments with good suggestions for you to dive into.
But yeah the rappers in the group are pretty dang good, my song suggestions are FREEZE and Easy.
Have a good one!
Please Can you react to heagum from Agust d? he is a member of BTS
@@aminatouniang2939 ill check it out. I should probably just react to BTS as a whole dont ya think 😂
I found this 'brief' intro comments from my Stayville post-it library with help from Stay@JAMoore-zz3ki :
= Leader 2:30 Bang Chan was an idol trainee at Company of JYPe for several years, starting at age 13.
----------------------------------
= Stray Kids debuted in 2018.
----------------------------------
Concerts:
= Main rappers - Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix - but unlike many K-pop groups, all 8 members can and have rapped, depending on the song.
= Main vocalists - Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, I.N
----------------------------------
= Languages: Bang Chan (the leader of the group) and Felix (deep-voiced guy) are both Korean-Australian, so English is their first language. The other 6 members speak English with varying degrees of fluency. - All 8 members are fluent in Korean and can also sing / rap in Japanese. They often mix Korean/English and Japanese/English in their songs and have fully English songs.
----------------------------------
= Not all of their music is super hard all the time.
----------------------------------
A little more info about Stray Kids:
- They are a multi-award winning and record-setting (as far as pre-release / post-release album sales) group who perform in countries [England & Italy in early July] around the world in completely filled stadiums that hold upwards of 50K / 60K people, as well as performing incredible, bring-down-the-roof performances at various awards shows.
- In 2024, among many other awards and honors, Stray Kids were the only K-pop group to make the Gold House A100 list of "Asian-Pacific Most Impactful Leaders." It recognizes the “100 Asian Pacific leaders who have most significantly impacted American culture and society in the last year.”
- Also in 2024, Stray Kids were the first full K-pop group to be invited to the Met Gala in New York as guests of clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger (who also custom-designed their outfits for the Gala).
Its not even their best rap song. My fav rap song is freeze by them
