#Paleologic
I love this series! Especially because we still get Danielle’s incredible drawings!
She is an amazing artist yeah!
@@KissyKat Daneel...
@@oBuLLzEyEo1013 no, she spells her name Danielle the traditional way, I checked it out. JoJo spelled it correctly.
@@KissyKat Nah, just referring to how for a while there she kept changing how she would pronounce her name, and that just how I heard it when she would try'n church it up or whatever...
@@oBuLLzEyEo1013 I gotcha ☺️
Sorry if I’ve missed previous Paleologics, I’ll have to go back and see if there are, but this is an awesome concept and I hope to see more!
There was only one paleologic video before this one
It's basically PBS Eons, but with only episodes about animals.
@@godnoble It's basically, but...

Would like to see a video done on either the haast eagle, andrewsarchus, gastornis or barinasuchus. One was the largest eagle ever that has discoveries still being made on it, the other was one of the most unique predators in history, then there’s essentially a giant terror duck, and a massive land crocodile that lived after the dinosaurs.
Ever heard of the quetzalcoatlus or the hatzegopteryx?
Argentavis
Barinasuchus is criminally underrated
Love the use of the toy, lol. Very cute despite the real thing being a deadly killer. 😵🐊
That toy i have and trust me it anti cute
You just love using toys don't you.
What toy?
@@christianwilliams7265 the sarco one thats a toy someone repainted
@@christianwilliams7265 it’s a Jurassic World toy by a brand named Mattel, at 0:05 but it’s repainted.
I've always been very interested in creatures that lived before the Dinosaurs: Like Dimetrodon or Meganuera. Episodes about them would be cool.
ohhhh id kill to see something about meganeura! or arthropleura and pulmonocorpius
Ayoooo same bro!!! I wouldn't mind using my free time or pay just to see these on documentary or short-like videos tbh.
Dimetrodon! Heck yea!
All I hear is ark
@@BlackReshiram meganeura gives a lot of xp yknow
I love prehistoric animals glad this was made
Oh my lord, we need more paleologic, this is amazing!
If you are indeed taking suggestions for future episodes, I would be delighted to hear more about the hatzegopteryx
I also love that there is a Star Wars refenrence in 100% of the episodes so far 🤩
Shut up
I love how some of the pictures are just toys, very nice.
Honestly, the Gondwanan wetlands are an incredible ecosystem. I think you could easily make a 20 minute video on it. We tend to think of extinct animals in a bit of a vacuum; we talk endlessly about the animals themselves, but we never put them in context with the other beasts that they lived alongside.
"Their cousins walk AMONG US"😱😱💀😱💀💀😱😱💀😱😱💀
Excellent video! I’m a huge fan of animalogic and am so glad this prehistoric series is happening. Sarcosucus is definitely a cool subject for a video although I have doubts they ate dinosaurs though. There’s been some research done to suggest it couldn’t death roll which is how crocodiles dismember prey today.
Yeah as much as I like this channel, I hate how sarcosuchus is continually overrated, Deinosuchus was the one that could eat dinosaurs
Paleologic!? Amazing! This might be my new favorite! I love Floralogic 💚 Tasha is the best
Sarcosuchus has always been really interesting to me it’s a behemoth marsh draconic beast what’s not to like? The fact that it comes from the baharyia formation a place literally filled to the brim with all sort carnivorous mega fauna makes it even more bad ass. I really enjoy it when you guys makes these little paleo videos keep it up!
Excellent work on Sarcosuchus my friend! Please continue on other prehistoric animals for your channel. And I love dinosaurs, dragons and other animals ever since when I was very young.
I love this series. I've been a fan of dinosaurs since my childhood. I would love to see a video on the Acrocanthosaurus. That or the Carcharodontosaurus. Either or as they both have peaked my interest and i've love to learn more about them. Either way, thank you for taking the time to making the Animalogic series!
it's as if you guys have been watching my search history! This whole week, I've been researching giant extinct crocodilians, especially _Purussaurus_ and also _Sarcosuchus_ . Thanks for the video!!
sarcosuchas wasn't a crocodilian but it was a cousin
they arent watching but that algorithm sure is
U should check out deinosuchus, its a genus of crocodilians that lived in the late cretaceous, its thought to be the largest living croc ever with deinosuchus hatcheri being estimated to have weighed 13-15 tons
I hope this series continues. I vote for thylacoleo next
Please make this an ongoing series!
Sarcosuchus is the prehistoric crocodile live in Africa
Deinosuchus is the prehistoric alligator live in Texas
Purrusaurus is the prehistoric caiman live in Brazil
That’s not exactly correct
Crocodiles, alligators and Caimans are all crocodilians, closer related to each other then they are to their prehistoric counterparts
Their similarities are a result of convergent evolution
@@WickedWildlife Oh,Thank For telling me,I didn’t know that
@@WickedWildlife There's also the fact that purussaurus and deinosuchus are both true crocs whereas sarcosuchus is not and is a cousin of crocodilians
Really love this series. Can you do a video on the Spinosaurus next?
Diprotodon optatum. Largest marsupial to ever exist. Great series and always loved Danielle's drawings. Good to see the channel coming back to life!
I would love to see a video on kelenken or paraceratherium. As they are rare species and to tell more people about them would increase their popularity even more.
I love this series its awesome. I love learning about all the prehistoric creatures that used to roam the Earth. Keep it up
Kelenken would be awesome.
I really love Danielle Dufault drawings. Can't wait to see more of it.
Oh man, I love this video! Prehistoric animals are really awesome!
I couldn't figure out why they were using toys instead of actual footage until I took a minute to think about it. 😂
gonna put a vote in again for the Bear-Dogs, the Last Common Ancestor of Bears and Dogs
I’m pretty sure that every dinosaur’s worst nightmare is the asteroid strike….
Thank you for another fascinating episode! Could you do Thylacosmilus or Thylacoleo?
0:07 amongus!?!!!?!!
Imagine swimming in a river filled with these beasts
Judging by it's mouth, I'd say it was a primarily a fish killer rather than a dinosaur killer. Even at adulthood. Deinosuchus would be the one built to be a dinosaur killer that snatches prey from the shore.
It also didn’t have a high now force for its size and couldn’t death roll unlike deinosuchus
Finally an educational channel that doesn't label it "supercroc" or put "crocodile" in the title.
AND PALEOLOGIC RETURNS!
Sarcosuchus was more of a ancient Gharial I wish you used Deinosuchus which was like a ancient alligator which was as big as a Sarco and had the ability to use the death role
No they weren't. Only Ramphosuchus was a gharial. Sarcosuchus was a distant relative of crocs, however their lifestyle was similar to nile crocodiles
Just discovered your channel and i'm shocked i didn't know about this earlier. IT'S AWESOME. Please keep on doing such beautiful videos.
Absolutely loved this. Maybe you could do a video on the Therozinosaurus. Possibly my all time favorite dinosaur!!
So glad you all can branch out like this! Great presentation!
here for paleo logic, love the history of Earth's animals
Correction. It’s the worst nightmare for the few genus that lived with it. Not every dinosaur.
Danielle always did and still is doing an awesome job introducing alive animals, thats why i came here, but i gotta say i love the variety now on this channel!
I love this series! More please! All of these series could be different channels at this point, and I’d be subscribed to them all! Great job guys!
“Every dinosaur’s worst nightmare”
Purussaurus and Deinosuchus:
Purrusaurus didn't co-exist with dinosaurs
Amazing video! I think covering marine reptiles like mosasaurus or pliosaurs some time would be really cool
This was interesting and beautifully illustrated! Thank you!
This series makes me so happy.
I really love this series and I cannot wait for videos on dinosaurs like, tyrannosaurus, triceratops, stegosaurus, brontosaurus, spinosaurus, parasaurolophus, or deininychus.
I want to learn more about the Diplodocus. How could such a huge monster live, and eat, and move around, and escape predators, and reproduce?
How could they not get crushed under their own weight?
T-Rex:roar Im the king of the landddd roarrrrrr
Sarco-talk that ish over here in the river dude
T-Rex: haha silly sarco I said LAND for a reason
Great video, as always!

sus
This is a great addition to the channel, I hope to see more!
Biggest one found was a somewhat complete fossil found in the Sahara Desert that was 41feet in total. Lived 100 million years ago in a very humid swamp. Beacuse of their massive size they had enlarged hearts and couldn't live very long
I love the usage of CollectA models in the videos, toy photography can be stunning.
This didn't even show up anywhere in my sub box despite being subbed and having the bell on. Glad it finally popped up on my recommendations today!
1:20 Well, actually According to a research in 2005, as a result of measuring the sample was about 9.1m. And in 2019, based on the family relation, the results suggest that the maximum length of Sarcosuchus will be 9.5m
So 12m long is bit wrong length like BBC did in the Walking With Dinosaurus series 😂
Quetzalcoatlus next pls!
I want to see more Paleologic videos! Especially ones on more dinosaurs like T. Rex and Triceratops for example.
For the next one you should do one of the most famous non-dinosaur reptiles, Dimetrodon
Hardly a reptile, either. Funky ol' fellas, those ancient synapsids.
This thing sort of looks like that crocodile creature from “ice age the meltdown” it attacked manny, Diego and sid. I could be wrong but was it this creature that was in the movie and if so can you do a video on the other creature that was with him in that ice age movie because that green one was badass.
I think it’s wonderful to talk about any prehistoric animals overall.
This made me remenber that when i was younger i used to give alligators food, they lived in an lake nearby an mall
I'd totally be all over prehistoric mammals/birds/reptiles for this series. Megalania, Glyptodon, Phorusrhachos (hope I spelled that right), Gastornis, Andrewsarchus, etc.
HECK YEAH! I am so glad this series exists. Dinos are the coolest 💜
Now I can't stop Kiss playing in my head:
"You're in the Saaaar.. you're in the Sarcosuchus..." 🤣
Beautifully drawn, animated and elucidated! Hello from animal lovers in Ghent, hope you'll get many more viewers in 2022!
Sarchosuchus even as adults have a narrow snouts for their body size. I believe the narrow snout would indicate that Sarchosuchus preferred prey much smaller than itself, regardless of its life stage. Modern crocodilians that regularly attack large prey all have broad snouts.
That kinda makes sense. Maybe that's why they probably prefer to hunt juvenile Lurdusauruses.
I love this series! Especially when we still get to see Miranda’s drawings
Strange they picked this one. Sarcosuchus is maybe just in the top ten in size and veracity of the paleozoic crocodilomorphs. I have a feeling it's because of the popularity of the animal more than it is about the more recent discoveries. Deinosuchus, Prurosuchus, and Parusaurus suchus Imp. are all significantly more predominant among the crocodiloformes. Deinosuchus was the one most people think about that got very popular after finding adult therapod bones in it's stomach region. Also, it was an amazing fossil in general that we still are learning a lot from. In science pop culture, a crocodile that could eat a T-Rex really does turn heads. Unfortunately the article that National Geographic published misidentified the crocodiloform as a sarcosuchus. The article got the where it was discovered and who made the discovery correct, but that was about all there was to it. Unfortunately journalists aren't the most reliable when it comes to the follow-through with details about research.
Omg, I love this, I would love to see the terror birds, or antelodont, maybe even the short faced beard or beardogs
This channel sure has.. EVOLVED!! Huehuehuehue!!!
Great video! Thanks for the info. ..I want the narrators shirt!!
I have that same exact PermiaWear T-shirt! One of my favorite swag pieces
1. That famous desert planet is Tatooine.
2. That popular space opera is Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, originally released as Star Wars.
I love Paleontology.
Pleased talk about the Giat Toothed whale that apparently lived alongside Megalodon. I think it was something that sounded like "Segro-bi-fighter-shu-gen-sis".
Looks like Floridians pre-gator. Badass as always. We love it. :)
Bruce from Jaws? Coulda swore that was gonna be a Finding Nemo ref lol.
To be precise, Gondwana split into South America, Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Arabia, India, as well as Zealandia, most of which is now submerged. Perhaps the commentator was squeezed for time. I love these videos about super-predators of the past. I always wonder what the world would be like if more of them had survived.
The most modern estimates of Sarcosuchus are usually between 9-10 meters and somewhere around 4 tons.
Love Paleologic! Great video!
Hatzegopteryx would be great!
I loved these guys as soon as I saw the episode of prehistoric park featuring them.
“We’re just beginning to understand them”
Everybody with a brain, “bruh”
Wait since when is Paeleologic a thing-?
I NEED IT
This creature most likely outcompeted Spinosaurid dinosaurs and forced them into extinction, or in the case of Suchomimus, forced the Spinosaurids to become more terrestrial in its hunting habits.
I’m glad you have so many shots of that toy. It helps me click out the video.
Please consider doing Deinocheirus
I bought the same toy a few years back mistaking it for a brown gharial. Now I can really appreciate what it is!
Love the amazing biology content, such a shame sometimes my algorithm messes up and I miss on these kind of videos - bell is now clicked though!
Imagine being such a perfect k*lling machine, that your form basically doesn't change for hundreds of millions of years. Peak adaptation.
I love the new paleologic episodes
dont stop
Can you teach us Abt Macrauchenia plz...??? I love this south American Odd mammals
Great episode, Talia.
Omg I’m so glad to see this format back 😍🙌🏽💯
God, I'm loving the Scott Hartman shirt. Amazing series, please keep it coming!
Sarcosuchus. It didn't walk with the dinosaurs...it ate them.
Sarchosuchus I believe appeared in JP Arcade games and a few console games. Its a creature a lot of us wanna see in the movies. Its such a unique and underrated prehistoric creature.
0:08 when the crocodile is sus
Didn't Paul Sereno find a nearly complete specimen of Sarcosuchus imperator at Gadoufaoua in the Tenere desert of Niger, later of which he had a life size statue built, wouldn't that model be enough to gauge how long the actual Sarcosuchus was....🤔
I’d like to see something on Acherontisuchus. This crocodilian lived with Titanoboa!

Your artist has a wonderful eye
Can you do spinosaurus next
what science knows about spinosaurus is largely fragmentary. Quite literally too because the first specimen was blown up by the nazi's during world war II not even kidding
