You have to like Mike White as a person, and deserves the praise for playing thru the hits. It is however crazy how much praise for his performance. YPA 4.1 in the 4th quarter with the Bills up two scores. This isn't going to work. His last 7 throws were for 3 yards, 3 yards, and 5 incomplete.
What more proof people need that Mike White is our guy. He showing that he can make all the the throws and command the offense. Today he took a beating but kept coming back put some respect on his name.
Wins against good defenses?
His throws are mainly check downs lol..
Josh Allen has similar numbers in this game to what ZW had in the last Bills game, the one we won. White has more yards. I guess White was better than Allen? Nope, doesn’t pass the win game test.

This dude is a warrior. Not many QBs' in today's era would get up not just once, but twice, from the shots he took today.
Dude is a moron for taking those shots. Zach Wilson is by far the best QB on this team but he is way to smart to let the Jets coaches and offensive line end his career.
Mike White played with guts, accuracy and determination, but the big flaw in his game was revealed in a big way: not mobile or elusive in the pocket. Zach's ability to extend plays would've been helpful in this game, but he's got to fix the fundamentals to make the easy throws first. We ride with Mike White for now.

Actually white gets the ball out quicker and takes less sacks. Does take more hits but Zach extending plays doesn't lead to much because he loses the field then has trouble finding the open guy
That 5-2 record looks better than 1-2 Mike yard-padder White, and 1-2 Joe actual-statue Flacco.
Bills fan here. Hard to cheer against a guy who kept playing while obviously in so much pain.

I loved hearing Romo's opinion on the qb controversy slowly change as he saw what white could do. Also refs not calling the out of bounds hit on Garret Wilson is frustrating
People are not watching these games if they think zach needs to come back. Mike white is playing immensely better than Wilson ever has. Our wins this year under Wilson came from our defense and breece hall. Wilson did not win us any of those games. It's unreal how stupid fans can be.
To be fair he won us the Pittsburgh game but otherwise yea mike is soooo much better

@@Lifebertarian MW wouldn’t have won vs. NE and Broncos. I feel somewhat assured in saying that, MW seems like a great person and teammate. But for all the fans coronating him, he’s incredibly inefficient. Wilson in week 18 vs. Buff on 20 throws and. 35% comp. almost matched the points output of MW today. And that was with a worse offense. Neither are efficient at all. Yes the offense looks slightly more fluid, but it’s erratic not constant. Plus, Wilson got sacked like 9 times between the 3 aforementioned games, evaded like 8 more pressures.
Also people miss that Breece Hall and the defense is the reason Zach was 5-2. Go back and watch the games

Mike White has done more in his 7 games than Zach has done in his 20. It’s obvious that Mike is better and the team seems to agree with that since they’d rather have him as the starter
@@ClickityClackify mike is a better decisions maker and as he should be since he’s been in the NFL 4 years. But he’s reached his ceiling and that’s a game manager. Zach has superior athletic ability and a better arm once he learns how to play in the league. You need to be mobile in the NFL today and looking at all the elite QBs they have that trait. How many times in this game did he check the ball down when we needed a play.
@@aaronantenucci2637 he has played 2 of the top teams in the league on the road and 2 in really poor conditions. he has made throws that carry this team through mistakes like cj,berrios drop, and carter fumble
@@greenguy17527 Minnesota isn’t a top team. Watch them play. Their QB play is subpar and their defense makes Mac Jones look like a top 10 QB. Their record isn’t indicative of how they’ve played. They’ve had a few miracle wins sprinkled in too, notably against the Bills. They’re the worst passing D in the league and lost to the lions today.

1:11, 2:13, 2:27, 3:30, 3:51, 4:05, 5:27, 7:29 those are 8 starting QB throws a few were elite.
Joe, those are all throws every QB should make at this level. You should try watching more football especially guys within their first season or two and backup’s coming into the game and you will see these passes should be automatic. I mean really man you took the time to pick the 8 passes that are the most generic two step drops, basic curl, wideout read passes you could find and assume that is what makes a starting QB. Please go back to your arm chair in the hole you came out of and leave the football talk to real men!
Wow you must be a coach or something if you can diagnose defense pass schemes and determine what should and shouldn’t be a “Starting quarterback pass. Here I was just thinking the bills defense was playing basic coverage with their front four and bringing a fifth man to pressure White and tie off on him all the while leaving all the deep wide out options uncovered just to dare White to beat them deep.
@@mr.d2983 I watch plenty of football, I actually review every throw for every drsftable QB for the last 15 years. These are high quality throws done on a weekly basis.

Maybe next time you should timestamp all his bad throws that a five year old could make. People still calling this game impressive for Mike white. The guy could lose every game from here on out and still be the hero. For as bad as Wilson was and how great White has been. White has just as many losses as Zach wilson in 3 games. Jets are now 5-2 with Wilson and 2-4 without him lol. I remember people saying wins are the most important stat for a QB
@Oreo does all of that fall on zach wilson too or can we ecuse him too and blame everyone else. Last week Mike White should have thrpwn 5ints as vikings defense sucks and dropped 3 easy picks. Thats not the rest of the team. And when was Mike white hurt in Vikings game?
@Oreo lmao White is on pace to throw the same amount ints as Wilson in same amount of games go check yo stats. If White threw the 5 ints against Vikings and the one pass in the bills game he would have 6 ints in 3games. That's higher than Wilson's 5 ints in 7 games.

It's laughable that people want this guy to start over Zach. He is slow, and has a noodle arm. Throwing hospital balls all over the field. More than 50% of balls are behind his wide receivers. "But he can take a hit!" Yeah, you don't get points for that...
I hope Zach Wilson can escape this horrible organization.
He has elite arm talent and it's getting wasted by a coaching staff that can't manage player development properly.

The crazy thing is in the Vikings game this guy threw 2 ints but had another 3 passes that the Vikings defense dropped in there hands. He should have thrown 5 ints that game. Plus for a tall guy he gets a lot of balls batted at the line.

The guy is tough as hell. Made some good throws but still, he’s not good enough to be a starting qb on a winning team. He’s competent but he doesn’t have the upside.

He was a not very good this game. Stats were deceiving because he was completing a lot of dump offs for 1 or 2 yds on 2nd and 10 and 3rd and 10 not converting. The only drive he moved the ball downfield was the TD drive and the FG drive where they were down 2 scores and Bills were giving him the check downs.
End this QB debate nonsense, the Jets offense is riddled with faults. Like 20-21’ Knicks they’ve been carried by their defense. All these MW diehards acting like he’s the second coming of Brady, when the truth is we have an awful QB room. Cooper Rush would start if he was on our team, it wouldn’t be close. We have a shaky OL, receivers who are really iffy (minus Garrett Wilson), similarly inconsistent running attack, and a weak offensive scheme. Both MW and ZW are averaging 21 ppg in their starts. Look deeper than QB. The only upside to Wilson is he’s this braintrusts draft pick, develop him if you want. Sign someone else if you’ve given up. But this team is pissing away a playoff spot over the same moral victories, it benched its then 5-2 QB over because it wanted to win now. Idc who starts, win the game, that’s all that matters. And no MW wasn’t fantastic today. Get well soon to him though, respect his grittiness.
What I saw is a lot of 3 yd passes on 3rd and long. What I saw was a number of poor passes that ZW got criticized for making. What I saw was a number of poorly thrown deep balls that missed open receivers. Is he tough obviously but teams are taking away that easy short pass that the Bears gave up and challenged him to throw deep.
The throw at 3:52 didn't impress you?
@Christopher Webb I never said he didn't complete some good passes, I just don't like 3yd passes at 3rd and long. He also missed multiple long passes not for the first time. More teams will crowd the short zones to take away those passes if he can't burn them deep. That's life in the NFL.

Mike White is playing better than Zach Wilson, but there seems to be a limit on what he can do based upon his arm talent. I don't think he's ever going to be a star. Wilson's got the arm and superior athleticism, but his fundamentals are terrible, which is really holding him back, along with his inability to process defenses at this point. The Jets are stuck twixt and between. Wilson's got more potential, but will he ever develop it? Mike White rights the ship when he comes in, but he's not THE GUY. Where do the Jets go from here? Stick with White and hope to make the playoffs, or revert to developing their Number 2 overall QB pick?
I think the only thing u can say zach has over white is he is able to move better but that is it

Zach is 23, on a rookie contract. White is 27. It is insane to start White over Wilson. White gives you nothing. He doesn't win games that Zach can't.
