I gotta say I really love watching this cotw beginner series and yours is not an exception. I also started a brand new game 2 weeks ago but one thing I must say is how important missions are for new players. For me, missions give me an early game purpose and they are the best way to get money and xp in the beginning, specially in Layton, Hirschfelden and Medved since you have around 30 main story missions. But it might be just to me, I just love the storytelling in games...
Doing missions and finding free XP like outposts, lookouts, and points of interest. When I started out, I'd hunt animals during the day and hop on the ATV and cruise around unlocking outposts and lookouts. Not only would it make traveling across the map easier, but it'd rack up some pretty decent XP along the way.
Thank you so much for making this series. I bought this game when it first came out and never took the time to learn it. 7 years later I found you and your videos. I've killed more animals in the last 3 days than over the last several years. Thanks again, babe, for making these.
Ive only just found your channel, and im already obsessed. been playing this game for a bit and only just recently taking it more seriously. with the help of your vidoes, ive gone from downing one animal every 1.5-2 hours to 1-3 every 10-15min. still waiting for my first dimond, but loving how much easier the game is to understand. I had a bad habit of running up on everything because im used to other games with hunting like far cry haha. Thank for your videos, i enjoy all of them.

I recently got COTW in Jan 2024 with your guide videos already at Lvl60 got a great one white tail at lvl36 just finished my moose grind yesterday 2500kills with 24 diamonds, 2 gold albinos 2 Melanistic, 1 piebald, 1 fabled speckled spider rack. Then got a Diamond Lion setting up my lion grind while watching your lion guide video. Thank you and your team for all the great work and content!

Just restarted after 3 years but on a new console, had a few friends finally get the game but on PlayStation not Xbox like I was on. Level 4 got my first would be diamond black tail but the unsteady aim in scope and horrible breath control I botched it 🤦🏻♂️ still keep them but the restarting fresh pain is real haha. Always enjoy your videos! I have a pc being built as well hope to bump into ya one day
Level 12 currently. Have the 279, 7mm, hyperion, tents, blinds, etc. And the entire layton map unlocked(cabins/towers). Slowly making my way through the objectives but feel like im getting trolled. Perfect placed shots are listing as non-votal 😅 This is harder than the real life hunting I've done lol
I found something in a Steam discussion that fixed my game it seems 🎉. I am around Lv 45 and my two favorite species to hunt at the moment (I have only played Layton and Hirschfelden so far) are Red Deer and European Bison
Level 18, yet to get a diamond. Though I may well have had some that I misplaced shots on, getting a lot better now with a lot of golds lately. I love diamond whitetail, they've got such pretty racks. Looking forward to my first! Though given I've moved over to SRP, more likely to get a diamond Rocky Mountain Elk soon.
I found out the hard way about the black magic smoke and atv's bursting into flames....... Your EBGames story sounds like my Walmart and World of Warcraft story. Went for antivirus or something and thought "That looks cool!"........20 years laters.
I am currently at level sixty, but still, my favorite map must be either Medved, Layton, or Vurhunga Savanna. All classic maps that are amazing to hunt on.

I found my first k diamond witch was a moose,I was playing on rev and I was about to get off when I sall it flee.i tracked that thing for 6 min till I found it again, it was nervous so I had to take the shot quick so I waited for it to turn to me and shot it. I thought I messed it but then I sall it fall and my heart dropped. I was so happy
Guess I am one of the few who doesn't go wild over the trophy level lol. Money on this game always seems to be tight at least for me so last thing on my mind is trophies.

I had a diamond whitetail on Layton I had to shoot with my .243 soft points cause that was all I had at the time lol got to 40yrds and took a front of shot, dropped in his tracks
Will imma give my advice: claim the outposts, learn the drink times, go into multiplayer, look for a server that’s set to the drink time animal that your after, go to areas that have little to no zones and there we go! You should find a diamond easy as pie

A good spot on Layton for me is the bottom left lake! I have 2 zones there, got a troll from there but I’m hoping he’ll respawn as a good diamond!
