22:14 thanks for the tip! 🎉❤ 30:11 I'm learning a lot, i destroyed all portals from 1st-3rd islands and find myself having a difficult time progressing.
😂😂😂😂😢I'm mad cause at 30:11 y'all are right and after thinking over it, it'd make sense just didn't think about it to make sense lol at the time having fun playing games
Early in the video you asked what a good island order would be and this is what I have come up with in my (admitedly small) experience with Olympus have been: Oracle island (starting island), Artemis and Hephaestus small islands (to get one boat for each side and be able to bring 4 hoplites to a large island and immediately start crusading) Artemis large island (guaranteed stag and you theoretically need to destroy less portals than hephestus + stone) Hephaestus large island (iron, self contained quest) Other two small islands (collecting souls for hermes island, building up knights, preparing for winter) Then depending on if it is winter: Athena island (do the forced winter island in winter) If not yet winter: Hermes island (hopefully have the souls, waiting for winter to do athena island) Then final island. Any corrections or things I missed?
depends on how lucky you are with the souls, i just do it in order: small island-big island from left to right completed three runs on normal, hard and cursed and i think i like this strategy so far, because getting the bow as soon as possible is neat and helps early on
There is something to be said about doing hermes island earlier to get the larger coin pouch but it requires taking out another three greed portals earlier on
I think it depends on how fast the the player is and the difficulty as well. Since this was my first playthrough, I was using the oracle a lot and confused about different things but I suspect you can either beat the game before winter (the regular seasonal one) or just as it starts. There's some mount RNG which theoretically could influence your island order as well but other than that the order you described is the one I'd recommend for most people.
I think going straight to artemis for the guaranteed stag *and* top weapon is probably the best, most consistent start. Then you fill out the small islands, spending... Probably can get it down to 3 days each, then hermes island, Hephaestus & athena would depend on day number, and then final.
Am I wrong in assuming ultimately you don't really get enough crystals to unlock everything? Also, is the catapult showing up sometimes randomly sort of a bug right?
Hey, on island 3 i have a lot of stronger enemies that comes from portal if i want to destroy it. it is very hard. You dont have the same enemies as mine. Why ?
First, for easier fights you should not kill all portals just those with temples to build on small islands unless u want to return for donkeycamp and reclaim stuff maybe, all in all to prevent hard fights always hurry up, the faster u leave islands with full menload and coinbag the better, in this mode just leave those islands behind with nothing left to pick up and when quest is fiished or small ship is claimed , as said maybe full clean the one with donkey (especially when its small) to be save, depends on your playstyle, also always group up ur 4 hoplites in front later on for serious fights. And its good to have some pikes/slings rdy to be picked up in base , ppl will run to reinforce your army mid fight. At the latest islands maybe add one or more swordman squads attacking and sync with them on portal and always make sure ur small ship is rdy with ballista. And beware, keep distance, dont rush into portal, make sure it gets shot over time but watch out that the small ship ballista does not trigger the defensive waves too early, feel free to retreat a bit and not fully and regroup your troops to regain fightpower and finish it off, even if it takes a whole day, take your time :) The buffs from god powers and mounts also can increase your fightpower imensly when used and combined wisely of course . Artemis Bow is most versatile in my opinion, high dmg on those big greeds, my fav godpower. My fav mount still is stag for early stages with much forest and deer and then cerberus or for later fights but there are so many playstyles.
@@OneDragon oh, also at 2:59:29 you dropped a gem ( my anxiety spiked like crazy) and never picked it up does that mean its gone? will it be added to another chest?
@@elonma483 No it's not gone. In Call of Olympus any lost Gems, hermits, and the dog can be found only on the island with the Donkey mount where you can find a station for it.
I believe you can get hermits/gems back from the gem keeper where you get the donkey mount. Edit: since mount locations are random it'll be on a random island.
I normally avoid catapults unless I take massive damage since breeders will just throw rocks back and that could cost lots of money repurchasing tools.
@@OneDragon Nice, just like me Though i do sometimes get it, but only when i can stack lots of fire barrels (which is really powerful if you have many sources of money)

@Adorian-e2u That is fine, I was also having a hard time and was mad at the "Poor Difficulty Design"
Good to know that I dont need to destroy all portal. Also finished my call of Olympus normal run. Going for a cursed run next time.
I just want to play normal game for like infinite days even after done all island is possible? I dont want start the game again
So here for this
Early in the video you asked what a good island order would be and this is what I have come up with in my (admitedly small) experience with Olympus have been:

Either that, or from artemis you beline for athena to get her done *before* the greed scale too much.
Nice!
Hey one dragon, i watched your speedrun video and thought of an optimalisation, wouldn't coop mode be faster?
Yes! It's a separate category for speedruns though.
Am I wrong in assuming ultimately you don't really get enough crystals to unlock everything?
Also, is the catapult showing up sometimes randomly sort of a bug right?
Yup, there's not enough gems for everything. You gotta manage what you need, rather than want.
How many units do both big boat and small boats each can board?
small boats have 2 hoplites, 2 farmers, and a squad
Big boat's standard: 3 builders, 3 squads, and 4 archers/slingers

I've heard that the portal defenses scale with your day count.

Are there formations in the game like they used to be? Like the "shield formation" for the troops, I saw it in one of the kingdom games
In this DLC I believe it's just the Phalanx when you pick up the banner.

Hi One Dragon,
I am trying to get the blacksmith hermit it Hephaestus challenge. The house is on fire. I don’t know how to do it - can anybody help?
Do you know how to max out archer towers? Mine are stuck at the 4 inside at the max town hall and it shows I can use coins on it still.
4 Archers should be max, the extra coins are probably showing that you can upgrade with a hermit.
@ Okay thank you so much! It must be a bug that the hermit icon does not show up :)
I saw in the game trailer the tower with fire catapult, how is it possible to activate?
There's a fire tower hermit or Prometheus, you him it to upgrade a tower.
@@OneDragon Thank you! ^^
Do you know any way to get a hermit back on this update?

2:59:30 drops gem
On island 6, why did you not get a catapult on your right side?

Is there a way to go back to the olympus?
I don't think so
you know you can bank your money including interest
So the Gods got beaten by that Monstrosity?
Maybe, for me that monstrosity is the Greedlings god.
