Pro tip. Go for a gray or blue suit before black. Those colours are much more versatile. What are great video this was.

Whilst I agree with this, I'd say if you can get a second definetley go with black, you can't change the tie colour much, but the shirt you wear with it can bring out what you wear a lot.
I usually wear a black suit, black tailored trousers, black undershirt and red tie when I go out, and I'd say it looks cool. However, a yellow shirt and black tie also works with the outfit, as well a white shirt and any cool tie to go with it.
Also if you have long hair, you don't have to worry about looking too masculine when in a suit. If you do want to look formal, you can tie your hair back, but otherwise letting it flow looks half bad ass and half cute (in my opinion)
