Sadly, I haven't read the books, but I feel the same way. Before season 2, I was okay with Alina and Mal. Wasn't head over heels for them, but I knew they'd be endgame. But season 2 has given us this dashing and charming privateer prince - ahem King. I admire him, I admire their scenes together, and I would pay to get much more of them in season 3. 😅💕

Aww it's beautiful. It meets the song and you can just see how much they loved each other. How much he loved her, even when she loved another. That's why Nikolina, is the light. The true meaning of tragic, forbidden love. Maybe in s3, their love can be realised.
I don’t think they will become something because unfortunately in the books Alina stays with Mal and Nikolai with Zoya 😢😢😭😭😭 but to me they are and always will be the real ENDGAME 🥹

I feel like Shadow and Bone saga Nikolay is a whole different vibe than King of Scars saga Nikolay. In King of Scars he has been maturing and developing. I like Nikolay and Alina, but it feels like a first love kinda thing for Nikolay, the one that helps us mature and go places. Alina is in between a relationship, she need to find herself and find her likes and dislikes. And then I feel like Malina and Zoyalai will jump in.
For some reason, I don´t like Mal at all. He is the nice guy, but ... too nice. That doesn´t make sense, but ... I hope you know, what I mean xD
I like Nikolai with Alina a lot more! He is charming, caring, funny and brave and ... in my opinon, looks better than Mal, but, that´s not so important.

They would have had the guts to let Mal stay dead. I did not read the books, so I don´t know what happend there, but ... no show has the guts to let a important character stay dead. I was so mad and disappointed, when he came back (even tough I know, she used this forbidden magic and stuff and that will be a plot point in s3, but ... yeah)
Mal´s death would have made perfect sense and would let us believe that everyone could die (like in GoT)
But now I just know that every big character is going to stay alive. I at least hope Nikolai stayes alive. He could die. But not Alina, Mal or any of the crows.
It's okay, really, no one really likes Mal 😂 It's a common trait throughout the fandom 😅

Darklina and Nikolina forever ! One of his two ships deserved to be the endgame ! Seriously, Malina who ?! (In the books Mal is absolutely horrible and uninteresting, and in the show... He's just a nice guy. Nice but still uninteresting. And being uninteresting in fiction is a crime) Also, nothing to have, but Nikolina reminds me of Tritan and Yvaine from the movie Stardust ! The girl is literally a star (and isn't the sun a star after all?) and at the end, we discover that the guy is a prince. In the end they become king and queen. 😢
