Another big difference is the blades the 6500 runs dual sided sharpened blades on both edges on both sides the smaller one the 24 only the last few cutters are doubles.

Would I need the more powerful one to get the top of the hedge down a bit? Got a basic cheap corded bosch hedge trimmer at the moment and I just can't get the height down the branches are too thick, but wondering if maybe I would need a petrol one or even some kind of saw, but I don't feel very confident using equipment like that.

What battery were you using? The 2.5ah that it comes with or the 5.0ah? I have the blower with the 5.0 and it’s great. Curious to know the approximate run time of the 2.5 vs. 5.0. Thanks!

It states an hour on packaging for the 2.5ah so double for the 5ah

I loved the Ego. Sorry I haven’t used the Ryobi so I can’t comment on that vs Ego.
