Like I said in an earlier comment, I shoot middle and high school sports for the fun of it. My grandson playing baseball rekindled my interest in photography. Sometimes I'll get a good shot of a player and give the photo to his mother at a game and they really like that. I have not seen any professional photographers at any games except at a championship game and he shot the team group/trophy photo then left. its a hobby for me, not a business. thanks so much for these great videos and sharing your experiences.

Thanks for creating and sharing these videos. Simple tips like the need to remove your lens hood in a photo well are invaluable and not easily picked up other than through this type of advice.
I shoot youth and high school sports, so I'm not competing for space, but if I'm ever in a well, I'll remember this nugget.
Your book was a great read several years back. I probably need to read it again to see what advice I pick up the second time.

Could have watched this for hours. But the take-away line was 'make your stuff distinctive' in as much as hoping your going to get a few bones from making images anymore. That frustration level I feel at venues where they give out creds to people with Instagram accounts and iPhones.. taking up shooting space, it's beyond anything I've seen.
