Hi Fred, sorry but I cant answer with 100% certainity, never been in Crete later than early novembar, but from what I heard talking with locales it is very empty during winter...Most of them are in Heraklio during that period and some of them in Agios Nikolaos ( very nice small town close to Elounda, few miles), some of them Athena etc. Sorry because i cant help more, but i have only info from ,,second hand". BR!
I have just booked 9 days there for next May which has now given me something to look forward to when I am at the grindstone.
Very nice, I've been to Elounda many times before I am sure it has changed a lot since then, but yes judging by this video its got better,
