They may be there, but it's hard to find them and mostly you'll have stumble upon them (I think). There are enough guide, but I feel like locals know more (as I am sort of local in Ghent, Middelburg, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen -you probably don't know where that is- or used to be in Rotterdam/The Hague). (as Dutchie it's easier for me to go away for a small and not expensive weekend trip to these parts as for America (north till south) and it has to be longer. 😊)

FrozenRoxas I appreciate that people admire my city. Just most don't know that you WALK down a sidewalk and don't block incoming traffic. When they fly-in man I don't want to go anywhere near where they are. Too many people. If it was like that year-round, I would consider moving.

I just wish he'd inspire people from other countries who know how to film to this elsewhere because it gives so much to so many people. I love that he's making some real changes in Prague for the better and I thank all of his tourist followers who help him with it by spreading the word. Thank you! I'm a Dutchman and visited Czechia two years ago for the last time. Thanks to Janek and Honza my friend and I were prepared and knew how to avoid tourist traps. We also gained more respect for your wonderful country and left Prague several times to visit other cities and villages. Often due to a recommendation by Janek and Honza. Outside Prague we've visited: Karlovy Vary, Kutná Hora, Český Krumlov, Brno, Benešov (Konopiště), Lednice-Valtice, Olomouc, Pardubice and Trěbič. But one of the villages I like the most is Mnichovice, probably because friends of ours live there. My friend is half Slovak and can communicate with the Czechs. I don't speak Czech, so I try to speak English or German with the Czechs. So far it has been great every time. I like the down to earth mentality of the Czechs. I hope the Czechs do realise how wonderful their country is.

I watched the "Honest Guide" while planning a trip to Prague and believe me...it was really useful...be it a early morning walk on the Charles bridge or selecting correct money exchange house, the open lift, self drive speed boat and many more. Every city must have at least one such honest guide which will make the trip of a tourist more enjoyable
First, I thought he was gonna give a set of guidelines like a tourist's dos and don'ts, so kinda disappointing for me when it turned out he wasn't gonna. I still found it entertaining to see how he used their social media presence to bring some positive influence to the people who follow them

Wow I just came back from Prague last night and saw this talk happened the week before I went. This university (Drew) is next door to my own! I wish I had been able to attend. But I probably watched all of the honest guide videos before I went and they were a great help!
Oh my God! I saw the video of Marek taking down the locks off the bridge grid, and I thought it was legitimately a job they got from the city to remove those! This is so funny. Marek, my man, you're doing something really important.
In the U.S., adults don't usually cut lines in school cafeterias. In my college, there's even a higher-quality cafe that's mostly frequented by faculty, while the students eat at the regular "mess hall".

Everything was spot-on! although i disagree with him regarding TRdelnik because i happen to like it One of the best Travel Channels on You Tube! highly recommended

I was actually approached buy a schemer when I withdrew money from ATM, he wanted to change it to me for smaller banknotes, I didn't let him and I am glad, now I know it was Belorussian money!
He underestimates their impact on Czech tourism. He and his buddy have single-handedly increased tourism to Prague tenfold. That congestion of tourists he talks about? ALL HIM. He and Honza did that. When they started out on youtube, it was mostly other European tourists. Now it’s this worldwide attraction and, I dare say, bordering on over-touristy. I had never thought of Prague as a destination before watching their vids. But I went and, thanks to Janek and Honza, I loved my time there.
Coming from a Master's Student of Tourism, I greatly admire your efforts and hope they continue to inspire other tourism professionals!!! International chains and over tourism isn't it!

I started watching his show when he was exposing the mafia taxi ring. That was done scary stuff at times.
