It's just my husband and I but I do like to prep. He's a vegetarian from India, I'm a Midwest girl so we eat totally differently lol. Also, on these big hauls, if I have extra on hand then I know I can help others who may be having a hard time. Either by donating to them or making them a meal. During this pandemic we've even given toilet paper to people who couldn't get any from the stores. Now every time we go to Costco I grab a pack just for that reason. Yes, I have four big packs but my kids and/or neighbors won't be without if another shortage happens lol.

$3,700 dollars for on average 5 months of food
    Her family has 7 members
$3,700 divided by 5 is $740 per month.
That means each member of her family eats for about $105 a month, or if you're going by weeks $26 dollars a week or $3.77 per day per family member. This is extremely cost effective and smart.

@Lila Sil. Im not a hater. But you absolutely can feed a family of 7 by going to grocery store weekly. Especially if your organized. But she is just choosing to do it different and do what works for her and her family. I highly doubt every family of 7 does this. Glad it works for her.

??? We were a family of 7. My mom shopped weekly and not even in bulk. We were on a tight budget, but that was years ago. I'm in my 30s.

@youareminealways probably only buying food. She bought way more than just food. She also said she is a family of 7 & they have a new baby. Babies alone cost a lot. Diapers, wipes, formula, medicine, clothes, etc. She did just fine when it gets broken done weekly.

@youareminealways and not everyone chooses to do that. Doesn't matter. It's not your family, not your money, not your life. She isn't hurting anyone. It's not like she cleaned out the store. It's Costco for God sake. They rarely ever run out of anything because they are constantly getting shipments, not to mention their huge freezers that are stocked full. There is no reason to hate on someone for taking care of their family. NONE

@youareminealways you know not all women can breastfeed. And while it may be cheaper to not buy in bulk. We’re in the 2nd wave of COVID-19 . She wants to stay out of stores as long as possible to avoid catching it and spreading it. Children and elderly are at the highest risk of having deadly complications from it.

It made me smile When you brought up the baby bell cheeses and said “which someone already got into”. I was that kid with my family and would do that every time mom bought groceries. I’d grab one on the car ride home and would munch away in the back seat. That cheese is so good! Ah such nostalgic memories. :)

I live in Sweden and I miss Costco so much ❤️ i hope they decide to open here in the future. Amazing haul! Just the time to show us it all must have taken forever 🙌🏻

I completely understand the need to do this especially with all those kids! My only suggestion is if you’re gonna spend all that money on ziplock bags every time it would be more cost effective just to invest in Stasher bags, plus so much better for the environment 😊

I love grocery hauls, mostly because in Greece we don't have this much variety of everything like you do, especially in the freezer section.Don't pay any attention to the haters, they're just jealous!!
